Coated Acoustic Strings Never Sounded Better!

Cleartone Acoustic Strings are coated, and they sound great. Thanks to Cleartone Strings and their EMP technology, coated strings sound better than ever. Cleartone's EMP (Enhanced Molecular Protection) is a patent pending process that extends the string's life by protecting it against oils from your hands, elements in the air, and just general string deterioration. EMP coating doesn't feel slick or slippery, and it won't flake off. You won't even know it is there. In a nut shell, it helps your strings stay fresh and clean without killing your tone.

Cleartone Strings uses only the finest phosphor bronze windings over a hex core. This combination gives you great response on your acoustic guitar and consistent sound.

Cleartone Electric Acoustic Strings with EMP Coating Features:
  • EMP coating gives string longer life without killing the tone
  • Longer-lasting than conventional strings
  • Phosphor Bronze windings
  • .013, .017, .026w, .036, .046, .056

Reviews

No, unfortunately...
I have been a big fan of Cleartone strings on my Strat and Tele, so I thought I would try these Cleartone 13-56 phosphor bronze strings on my Taylor 412e-r acoustic guitar. Unfortunately, after giving them a break-in period and keeping an open mind, they just sound kind of muted and with less harmonic richness and complexity as compared to the Elixir Phosphor Bronze strings that came with the guitar. For my ear, the Cleartone phosphor bronze strings, while ok sounding, do not come close to the rich piano-like tone of the Elixir phosphor bronze strings.
Expensive and Really Average
First, I really don't like the packaging. They use a lot of cardboard to show theirs vs others etc.. but then the strings come all bunched and wound up together. For the price I'd prefer individual string packaging. Strings feel bulky and tough but stay in tune and are very loud but at the same time sound flat or unbalanced?? I don't like them and at their price point I think a $ pack of strings of any brand would sound as good or probably better than these. Just my opinion..
