Streamlined Double Pedal with Reversible Beaters

Light on weight and features yet big on speed and performance, the streamlined Gibraltar 5711DB double bass drum pedal is perfect for players who are just diving into the world of double pedals. Its Fast Touch pedalboards are ultra smooth to reduce drag and enhance comfort when playing without shoes. Its single-chain, cam-drive response is whiplike and intuitive, with adjustable tensioners for slave and master sides. The slave pedal features a rock plate to maximize stability while the master pedal subs in a radius rod for reduced weight in transit. Not to worry — the bass hoop affords all the stability most players will ever need. Features we at Sweetwater were pleased to see in a pedal at this price point include an offset hoop clamp for convenience and comfort and dual reversible, self-aligning 90g beaters with soft felt and hard plastic striking surfaces for two distinct tonal options.

Gibraltar — hardware for the most discerning drummers

From Lamb of God's Chris Adler to the drum legend Luis Conte, Gibraltar drum hardware is a staple of the drum and percussion world. Their heavy-duty drum set frame, cages, and racks are at the center of many demanding professional drum rigs, and their reputation for extreme stability and durability make it easy for Sweetwater Sales Engineers to recommend them to their most discerning drummers. Whether you're adding hardware to your rack, grabbing a new stand or pedal, or simply looking for a reliable throne, you'll never have to worry about your Gibraltar drum hardware.

Reviews

Nice
Although I am a beginner drummer. Because I am a guitar player I have seen and tried other more expensive double drum pedal. This is not far from those expensive ones.
Double Kick
Well built and very responsive. Great pedal and recommend.
Great pedals
Definitely an upgrade from my no-name pedals that I had before that ended up breaking. Nice and smooth chain movement straight out of the box.
Music background: Intermediate Drummer
Double pounding
I recently purchased my first double bass drum pedal. It is quite an adjustment from utilizing a single pedal for so many years, but I am enjoying it very much. The pedal works great for the type of music I create. I play atmospheric Black Metal, and the double pedal really brings out some of the fills I play. I am still a work in progress, but the pedal works effortlessly and sufficiently. It's a great price, and definitely a great addition to my kit. If you are looking for a reasonably priced double pedal that will get you great results, then go with this Gibraltar double pedal.
Music background: I have been a musician for 30 years. I am very proficient on the guitar and bass, but also play keyboards and drums. I am a one man Black Metal band called Vitality.
Good pedal, but QC issues from factory
I received this pedal a few weeks ago, and have been enjoying it so far; however, mine came with a pretty significant QC issue. The hole for the right beater wasn't drilled large enough from the factory, and the beater would only go in about 3/8". The fit was also so tight that I couldn't get it out by hand and had to use pliers to pull it out. I could see what the issue was, and decided to drill the hole larger myself, which solved the issue. I've heard good things about Gibraltar, so mine may have been just a fluke, but I'm a little hesitant to recommend the pedal based on my experience.
