A 12-string Taylor That Pleases Every Sense

The Taylor 352ce 12-string acoustic-electric guitar is Taylor’s take on a 12-fret acoustic guitar. Its Grand Concert body is made up of a solid Sitka spruce top and sapele back and sides. The body and tonewoods create a warm bass response and sparkling treble. The Taylor 352ce has a 12-fret neck joint and compressed 24-7/8" scale length that make the strings easy to fret. It’s appropriate to say that this guitar is pleasing to all your senses. It has Taylor’s enviable build quality, feels great to play, and has the classic, beautiful tone of the best acoustic guitars.

Today’s tonewood combination

Taylor is leading the charge for environmental conservation among guitar builders. To do their part, Taylor has been incorporating tonewoods with sustainable growing cycles into their line of guitars. The Taylor 352ce’s body is made from renewable sapele, an African tonewood that is quickly gaining fans among the guitarists at Sweetwater for its mahogany-like tonal balance and warmth. The body is paired with a Sitka spruce top that produces a bright sound with an appealing warmth. No matter how you’re picking, you’ll appreciate the highly articulate attack.

Taylor ES2 electronics deliver natural and dynamic amplified sound

Artists who play plugged in will appreciate the Taylor 352ce’s natural-sounding Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics. This system features a 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the guitar’s saddle to better capture the natural vibrations of the saddle. On the upper bout, you have access to Bass, Treble, and master Volume controls. Once you plug in your ES2 electronics, you’ll hear the difference.

Cutting-edge bracing pattern

Taylor has continued to introduce innovations since they burst onto the guitar market. From glue-less neck joints to advanced pickup designs, Taylor consistently brings cutting-edge innovations to traditional guitar-building techniques. V-Class bracing is Taylor’s proprietary bracing pattern that provides a more orderly sound and better intonation. V-Class guitars produce strong volume and sustain much longer than their traditionally braced counterparts.

Taylor 352ce Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:

  • 12-fret neck joint increases tonal warmth and softens string feel
  • Grand Concert body shape is well-suited to fingerstylists
  • Sitka spruce top showcases articulate note definition
  • Sapele back and sides add mellow midrange
  • Expression System 2 electronics reproduce a lively plugged-in tone
  • V-Class top bracing produces long sustain
  • Slim mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard feel lovely in your hand
  • Included hardshell case keeps your guitar safe from damage

Aesthetically pleasing and playability.

Ordered his beauty and was astonished again with how quickly Sweetwater shipped it out. The size was particularly comfortable for a smaller statured person such as me. (5'9" 135 lbs. ) It's very nice to just kick back with on the couch or my bed and fiddle around with while offering a larger sound than you might think from such a small package. The string tension is not excessive so playing in both standard tuning and a step or half step down is a snap. The quality of materials used as well as looks is nothing short of excellent as you would expect from a Taylor. Sometimes you get what you pay for and this is certainly one of those times!

Taylor 352ce-12 - Great 12 String Guitar, Easy to Play

Love this new 12 string. Super easy to play. Smaller format easy to play with no sacrifice in tone and volume. Quality of construction as expected for a Taylor guitar. My sales rep A.J. provided great service as always. I'm a 10 year loyal customer to Sweetwater and I would not consider buying a guitar anywhere else.

Player's 12 String

This is always my 12 string of choice from the 4 that I own. It is by far the easiest to play. As is typical of Taylor guitars, it came set up perfectly from the factory. The string spacing is perfect and fits my hand well. The tone of this guitar is rich and full of sustain. It is a very well-balanced tone across the board from high to low, and lends itself well to an amplifier, without having to use a lot of EQ to balance the tone out.

This guitar was the first 12 fret guitar I have ever owned. I like it so well that I turned around and bought the Taylor 312ce 6 string also. I am a small guy, and they fit me perfectly. The design in them with the V-class bracing and repositioned bridge makes for surprising volume and tone. I love the cases that come with them. Whether you are a pro or an amateur, these are 2 guitars you will want to keep!

Excellent guitar

I've had a number of 12 string guitars over the last fifty years and this is the best 12 string string guitar I've ever played! It has a warm rich tone, great action (I'm a finger-style player), and a great feel. The ES-2 electronics are amazing, no piezo "quack".
A shoutout to my my Sales Engineer Dave Dunsire for making my purchase easy and enjoyable. As always, great customer service from Sweetwater

Into the Jingle Jangle Morning

Guitar is my main thing in life aside from work. Have been playing for 20 years, ever since I was a teen. Writing songs, jamming on acoustic has always been my preference. I bought my dream guitar, Martin HD-28, last year to reward myself and because I had finally got to the point in my playing where I needed an expertly crafted instrument. Once you enter the world of premium guitars, there's no going back.

I had owned a few low end 12 strings over the years and always loved playing them. But it seemed like there was never anything between that $400 Gretsch that's collecting dust in Guitar Center and that $4,000 Guild jumbo 12er.

Enter the Taylor 352ce. I ordered it last week from Sweetwater and just received it today. The body/necker are smaller than my big ol' Martin HD-28, but the sound is, well, just a symphony. It took about 20 minutes to get used to playing a 12er again and get the sound I remember loving so much.

It's just a masterfully crafted instrument. Just oozes quality and the sound is so well balanced. You can hear every note, and it's very easy to play. A bit top heavy as you might expect but you quickly get used to it. I do a lot of fingerpicking and weird open chords, and this is just perfect for that. I've found that I like it best playing with metal fingerpicks, much like a banjo which this guitar actually reminds me of in some ways.

Classic American instrument -- part guitar, mandolin and banjo together, at least to me. Everything I wanted and more. Sweetwater provides a buying experience that's second to none (bought my Martin from here, too).

If you, like me, have struggled to find a premium 12 string for a medium price point, this is it. Could not be happier.
