It does its job wtih accurate readings
This milliammeter does the job of measuring the current usage of your pedal or pedals. And it fairly accurate. I compared readings with my Simpson VOM and a more modern digital meter. All three were withing 3 milliamps of each other.

The simple usage manual requires a little thought - you need to supply power from an external power supply and the pedal (or daisy chained pedals) need to be powered on which usually requires that a plug or cable in plugged into their input jacks. And for a proper reading I would suggest using the pedals as you normally would - effect enabled with an input signal so that the pedal is doing something and not just idle.

The cable tester works but is very simple - it can only test 1/4" Tip/Sleeve cables.

This device would get a sixth star if it could also measure the voltage from the power supply so you could tell if the supply is able to adequately power the pedal. It would also be nice if it could test TRS (balanced or stereo cables) and measure any resistance in the connections, but that would require a more sophisticated device.

But as is, it makes the task of checking current draw quite easy and provides basic cable testing capability;
works
It is working. You can find out that some pedals don't use as much Ma as the manual says. Rafael and associates at Sweetwater do a great job packing products and getting them out quickly.
Does exactly what you need - and super easy to use - highly recommended
I've had great success with Truetone products and this one is no exception. Very simple to use - and gave me exactly the info I needed to plan my power support for a new bass pedalboard with about 6 pedals on it - some of which are big current hogs. Highly recommended.
Very Handy Device
Great product. Eliminates the need to do simple but often necessary arithmetic conversions to get effects pedal user manual power consumption info and pedal board power supply info in the same mA units. Also, reconciles ambiguous power consumption info in product manuals. Works like a charm. Provides more confidence when building out a powered pedal board.

I didn't think I'd use the cable tester feature. Then, two days after I got the 1Spot I encountered some signal path issues. I was able to test whether or not cables were the problem. Quickly solved the signal path problem and got back to playing. Nice.

I recommend this product for people who have a need for this type of device.
Perfect for my pedalboard architecture
After experiencing unusual responses from high end investments for rhe pedalboard, the meter provided guidance to expertly solve. Thank you.
