What's a balanced power conditioner?
Similar to balanced audio, balanced power conditioners like the Equitech Model 1.5R employ common-mode rejection to eliminate unwanted noise. The 1.5R houses a large, proprietary Equitech transformer to split 120 volts into one 60-volt leg and one phase-inverted 60-volt leg. The two legs are then reassembled, thereby eliminating any sonic artifacts that aren't part of the pure signal, including hiss, ground loop hum, and distortion.
