Wah Comparison Chart

Model Frequency Range Frequency Range
Cry Baby pedals get their "wah-wah" sound by accentuating a given frequency range. This gives each pedal a particular sound: throaty, vocal, aggressive, etc. On some pedals this range is fixed. On others it can be adjusted for different textures.
Description Inductor Inductor
The inductor is what makes Cry Baby pedals boost only certain frequencies rather than the whole signal. Red Fasel, Yellow Fasel, and Halo inductors are regarded by many guitarists as having a better response than stock inductors. All Cry Baby inductors are auditioned by Dunlop and selected for each pedal based on tone and price point.
