The Spring King Reigns Again

In 1999, Danelectro debuted the original Spring King reverb, a pedal that proved to be monstrous in terms of tone and size. Fast-forward 25 years, the Spring King Junior is here to reclaim the throne. While this sibling's sounds are as big as ever, the size of the pedal is far more subtle. Just like the original, the Spring King Junior features a real spring tank to produce its authentic reverb sounds. Danelectro also crafted the Spring King Junior from die-cast casing for extra durability, though it also includes a soft footswitch for gentle activation. Lastly, Sweetwater guitarists have easily accommodated the Spring King Junior on their pedalboards because the Junior — while still able to produce some of the springiest 'verb sounds imaginable — is but a fraction of the size of the original pedal. From tubular surf rock licks to ambient clouds of shoegaze sound, the Danelectro Spring King Junior is the rightful heir to the reverb kingdom.

Danelectro Spring King Junior Features:

  • A smaller re-creation of the classic 1999 Spring King reverb pedal
  • Real spring tank with 3 springs to create authentic reverberation
  • Soft footswitch for gentle activation
  • True bypass keeps the signal fully intact
  • Die-cast casing for durability
  • Compact size takes up minimal pedalboard space

Reviews

If your amp doesn't have one, this is a good option!
I really like this reverb, it's probably staying on my small board. I wish the tone control had a wider range, more of a tilt and it's a bit high.

But this thing is really well made and it only draws 35ma and sounds really good. Such a better option than any of these digital reverbs.

Perfect for when your amp doesn't have reverb.
This is a great reverb if you are searching for that amp type reverb and your amp doesn't have it. Real spring sound and well isolated and it only draws 35ma off your 9V.
I am really liking the sound of this. Probably only drawback is it's a bit tall, but well worth it!

Great Reverb
This is my favorite spring reverb. Simple spring reverb to add to amps without reverb.
Excellent
I really like this reverb - it's simple to use and sounds authentic. I can get a nice drippy sound reminiscent of old surf music. I really love the fact that I don't have to mess with a ton of knobs to find a good sound. Here's a short track I did using the Spring King.

Danelectro Spring King Junior customer review
I bought the Danelectro Spring King Junior for my 1965 Princeton Reverb. My Princeton was modded back in the day to add a master volume. Which slaves off the reverb tube circuit on the amp, which unfortunately renders the amps reverb nonfunctional. Almost all pedal reverbs are digital. Not the Danelectro, it's analog through and through. A surprising compact design that just sounds amazing. Without a doubt the best reverb sound I've had coming out my Princeton in decades. I'm totally happy with this new addition to my arsenal of magical music gear. Go Danelectro.
