For your critical midrange equalization needs, take a look at the Midrange Equalizer ME 1B, which sports five low frequency peaks (0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 1kHz) and eleven mid frequency dips (from 0.2 to 7kHz) plus five high frequency peaks (1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 5kHz) and output noise that's below -80 dBm. The filter section of the ME 1B is of the passive type, followed by a tube-based push-pull amplifier which restores the gain.
