Neold Warble’s operation starts with the Modulation Block. The Wow knob imbues your source with warm and lush movement. Meanwhile, the Flutter parameter gives you some extra wiggle and irregularity. Both the Wow and Flutter controls have individual depth and speed controls to fine-tune the sound. Finally, use the mix, speed, and level controls to make the plug-in come to life. Beautiful Aging section
Part of the appeal of magnetic tape is its unmistakable sound. It has a slightly reduced bandwidth compared to modern digital recording devices, tons of harmonic texture and is somewhat noisier. The Neold Warble plug-in’s Aging section lets you simulate a well-loved reel of tape in your DAW. There’s an Age control to set how worn out the virtual tape sounds, while the Dirt parameter controls the harmonic distortion. After you set those controls to your liking, use the noise control to add some lovely tape hiss for extra realism.
Filter your sound to perfection
Warble’s filter section comes with hi-cut and lo-cut controls. Just two knobs provide dramatic signal shaping from dark and bass-heavy to thinned-out low-fi sounds. Many of us at Sweetwater use the filters for easy telephone-style vocal effects. And when more flexibility is desired, the adjustable resonance modifiers (located above the lo-cut and hi-cut knobs) give you even more filtering potential.
