This is a great investment
This was discouraging at first seeing nobody wrote a review on this compressor.It's simply just Fantastic you can use in many different instances. This is a great plugin to add to a mixed bus, Or drums or even a single kick track. Instruments etc….. This is a great investment if your taking your mixes to the next level….
Great for the hands-on types
I started recording on old 8 track home recorders and portastudios, and the thing I missed most when switching to computer based recordings was physical touch. I'm a sucker for knobs and faders, so of course I was attracted to this line of plug-in controllers from TC.
The physical controller feels great. The knobs feel good and smooth, the button layout makes controlling the plug-in feel easy and intuitive. The display is nice too, bright and clear, with a sensible graphic displaying your parameters and changes.
As for the plug-in itself, it's another win for me. If you know how to work a compressor, you'll have no trouble figuring this one out, and personally I like the layout and flow found with this unit. It just feels more intuitive to me than some of the others I work with or have worked with.
I would definitely recommend this unit or any of TC's other controllers to someone wanting to set their mouse aside and get a little more physical with their mixing. I don't think the plug-in itself does compression better or worse than the other compressors I use, so it's really all about the physical control.
