Reviews

Works for me
I do instructional videos and want a sound that is easy-to-listen for hours but don't have the patience to listen to my own voice in post. This set up works. On a side note, the EQ allows me to drop the large condenser mic for an earset mic and forget acoustically treating the room.

On Windows 11, I found it better not to use the Behringer drivers but simply the Windows drivers because Windows was only capturing the dry sound, not wet.
Music background: I'm about dialog(not music).
Uv1 finally
I have the dbx but this is way better happy I made this choice now I need one more. Had to redo my review and use the right email thanks sweetwater for taking care of me.
Music background: Jack of all musical trades
Behringer UV-1
For an all one solution: for voice work, a very straight forward easy to use preamp, that sounds better than some of the more expensive preamps out there.
Buy this!!
I'd say, if you see this available, BUY IT! It has been my go-to for streaming and quality sound for years. It's a fantastic unit that can be used to spice up your DI or Vocals before recording. I fully recommend it!
Music background: Producer, multi-instrumentalist, Singer
Surprisingly good!
I have owned 4 DBX 286S units, which have always sounded incredible for the radio station voice tracking that I do. However, they constantly break down after a certain period. I was a little skeptical that the Behringer could at least match the DBX,and to my ears it's right there if you take the time to eq it right. As long as this unit lasts longer than the year or so with my past DBX units...of which I now have a graveyard of...it think the UV-1 will be a real winner! Thank you Behringer and Sweetwater for giving us an alternative at this price point...and less expensive at that than the DBX, which just went up in price recently.
Music background: Vast.
