Time to Meet the Reaper

Whether you play rock, metal, or fusion, the Schecter Reaper-6 is a force to be reckoned with. This red-hot axe features a resonant poplar-burl-topped swamp ash body, ensuring maximum natural tone and killer looks. High-output Diamond Decimator humbuckers make the Reaper-6 the sonic equivalent of a flame thrower but still give you enough versatility to cover all of your tonal bases. As for comfort, after experiencing this guitar's sleek body contours, Ultra-access Neck Carve, and fast-playing ebony fingerboard, you'll have a hard time putting it down. The Reaper-6 includes a Schecter hardtail bridge for rock-solid intonation. Eye-catching black and chrome hardware completes the package. This is one Reaper that you'll want to meet.

Natural tone and resonance

The Schecter Reaper-6 is simmering with natural tone and resonance, thanks to its poplar-burl-crowned swamp ash body. The swamp ash imparts a musical blend of warmth, brightness, and midrange "pop." This already exquisite tone is then balanced out with a poplar burl veneer, which also lends to the Reaper-6 a unique, eye-catching appearance. At Sweetwater, we appreciate an axe that produces great-sounding tone — even before you plug it in!

Face-melting humbuckers

As great as the Reaper-6 sounds acoustically, it was built to be plugged in — and you won't be disappointed! Its high-output Diamond Decimator pickups slice through the mix like hot adamantium but give you enough versatility to conquer any sonic situation you might encounter. It includes plenty of tonal control, by way of a master volume, master tone, and 3-way pickup selector. You also get a push-pull pot for coil-split single-coil tones.

The Reaper Series — sleek, sharp, and aggressive

Schecter's Reaper Series is built for sonic domination. These axes boast poplar-burl-topped swamp ash bodies for supreme resonance and custom-shop-level looks. Ebony fingerboards and 5-ply maple/walnut Ultra-thin "C" set necks deliver unbelievable playability. Strap one of these babies on, and you'll enjoy extreme comfort, thanks to extensive body contouring and Ultra-access Neck Carves. Want tone that cuts like a scythe? If so, you'll appreciate the Reaper Series' high-output Diamond Decimator pickups. Schecter custom hardtail or Floyd Rose 1500 bridges supply rock-solid tuning. Complete with attractive black and chrome appointments, these guitars are top-drawer all the way.

Reaper 6
First Schecter guitar I have purchased. Looks beautiful. Sounds great. I am a beginner, but really like it.

I've had this since May 2019, time to write a review!
As the title states, I've had this guitar since May of 2019. In February 2022, what do I think of it? First of all I had it set up professionally at Sweetwater HQ for Drop C tuning and when it arrived it played great with no need for any adjustment. The tuning keys are also very responsive, with that being said I didn't go out of tune very often due to the quality of the setup. The Schecter hardtail bridge is VERY comfortable to rest your palm on while playing. I think the best features of this instrument aside from its awesome aesthetic reside within the ultra thin C neck and the super flat radius it has, along with the extreme versatility of the Diamond Decimator humbuckers. You can literally play anything on this guitar and it doesn't sound out of place; in fact, these pickups are my absolute favorite when it comes to using the push-pull tone pot to split them. Other companies offer this feature with their pickups too, but these Schecter pickups just sound better; a very close 2nd in comparison would be the Ibanez Quantum pickups in the 2nd and 4th positions. Fast forward to now, the guitar is still playing, feeling, looking and SOUNDING great! I think that this is probably one of the best, if not THE best mid-level priced left-handed guitar you can buy without any need for mods or upgrades of any kind, to me it really has it all right out of the box. I own around 34 guitars ranging from Japanese ESPs to $1300 level Schecters all the way down to $100 used project guitars and while they're all great, this one is in a league of its own! Better? No. Different? Definitely! What are you waiting for? Buy one!

I'm no shredder
I have had this guitar in my sights for a while. I asked for notification for when it was in stock and the when I received that I ordered it right away. It was very late on a Sunday evening so I did not call my sales engineer Charlie Davis I just used my Sweetwater card and bought it. Charlie had the whole thing processed early Monday morning and I got it Wednesday. This is a beautiful guitar to look at, the satin finish and charcoal burl on the top are especially pleasing. The tones you can get from this instrument are great either clean or with overdrive and distortion. Being a child of the 60's I lean more towards Grateful Dead ,Allmans, Little Feat so I play without a lot of effects but it sounds as good playing jams and blues as well as ballads by the Dead or anyone else from the era I grew up with. This is my second Schecter, if you see this back in stock and you don't want to spend $2000 on an electric guitar I would go for it. It came set up to play and that is all I have been doing for the last few weeks.
