Multi-scale Solidbody Delivers Some Impressive Tone

Combining top-notch tonewoods, detailed craftsmanship, and impressive features, the LTD M-1000MS means business. This guitar begins life as a block of mahogany with a figured maple cap. After the body is fully carved and contoured, a 5-piece maple/purpleheart neck is added. The neck's thin profile and multi-scale fretboard are ideal for heavy riffing and high-octane soloing. The searing tone is provided by a set of Seymour Duncan passive humbuckers — a Sentient in the neck and a Nazgul in the bridge. Extra sonic options are provided by a coil-splitting harness. If you're the type of player who regularly performs high-gain heroics, the LTD M-1000MS is the guitar you're after.

Multi-scale fingerboard helps improve performance

For unparalleled performance, the LTD M-1000MS has a mirror-smooth ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets in a multi-scale configuration. A multi-scale fingerboard assigns each string its own scale length that's longer on the bass side and shorter on the treble side. This yields better intonation, consistent tension, and equal attack between strings. This helps keep your lowest strings tight for accurate riffing while keeping the treble strings loose enough to bend easily. If you need a guitar that can deliver a thunderous low-end chug as easily as it can rip a solo, you'll be delighted with the LTD M-1000MS.

5-piece maple/purpleheart neck plays effortlessly

There's more to love about the M-1000MS than its multi-scale frets. It has a 5-piece neck that you'll absolutely adore. Made from alternating plies of maple and purpleheart, this neck showcases some serious stability and sustain. Multi-ply necks are well-loved here at Sweetwater for their impressive stability. The neck is carved into LTD's Thin "U" profile to promote playing speed and unmatched comfort. You'll be impressed from the moment you pick it up for the first time.

Seymour Duncan pickups bring the pain

The LTD M-1000MS is powered by a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups. These passive humbuckers feature large ceramic magnets that deliver some impressive high-gain tones with a tight low end and a punchy midrange. In the neck position, the Seymour Duncan Sentient pickup adds PAF-style harmonic complexity, while the Nazgul bridge pickup has a searing hot high-gain voicing. The push-pull tone knob activates coil splitting to give you extra tonal versatility.

ESP LTD M-1000MS Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Multi-scale fretboard enhances overall playability and keeps your low-end nice and tight
  • Seymour Duncan pickups create impressive high-gain tone
  • Mahogany body adds warmth and resonance
  • Attractive flamed maple top catches the eye
  • Maple/purpleheart neck feels sleek and plays fast
  • Coil splitting unlocks single-coil sounds
  • Hardtail bridge improves tuning stability

Great workhorse and maximum comfort

This guitar has a slim and smooth neck and profile that's light and very comfortable playing through the fretboard. The coil split is a nice feature and allows for clarity in the mix. Definitely a work horse for metal and has great tuning stability from E standard to B standard. Use for rhythm and lead.

Fantastic Guitar

The first guy must've eaten sour milk for breakfast.
I personally don't own this guitar, but my local music shop has one and it's one of, if not the best playing & feeling 6 string guitars I've played, fanned frets aside. Having the dynamic scale makes lower tunings with lighter strings attainable for better note quality. Did I mention this thing sustains longer than a toddler who didn't get the toy he wanted?
And it's on my moderately and reasonably sized list of guitars that I want, with a higher priority.
Music background: 4 years in guitar noobery, aspiring wannabe producer.

Awesome guitar

Don't know what's with the other review but this guitar is killer. Not everything is always perfection and complaining about where the volume knob is is a bit cheap. Overall real smooth and ESP/LTD are still some of the best in the market. If you don't like something them change it, simple as that

Not even close to worth the price

Its a solid guitar. But I just have to give it 1 star, because of the price, and quality control. Truss rod cover is not flush with nut, frets are the cheapest feeling frets I have ever touched. Volume knob is to close to fret hand, if you play with your pinky out, its going to constantly hit the knob. My tone knob came really loose. And the high E and B string came corroded! ( I know everyone changes strings right away, but for the price it should come with good strings ) And it does not stay in tune very well, for a guitar with locking tuners. Neck pickup has almost no sustain. For the positive. The bridge pickup is fantastic, and neck is very smooth. And it does sound pretty good on the bridge pick up. If this guitar was under 900$ I would of given at least a 4 star. But at this price, it gets 1 star. For the money, you can get MUCH better. Will not be buying a ESP/LTD ever again.
