The Perfect Strat for Beginners, Kids, and Travelers

The Squier Mini Stratocaster solidbody electric guitar makes a great instrument for beginners, younger players, and travelers. This 3/4-size guitar might look cute, but it’s also capable of becoming a tone monster when you plug it in. Like its big brother, the Squier Bullet, the Mini Strat uses three single-coil pickups, volume and tone controls, and 5-way pickup switching to give you an array of great sounds. It also includes a comfortable maple neck, an Indian laurel fingerboard, and a chrome-plated hardtail bridge. It’s perfect for smaller hands and sized just right for taking on the road.

Conveniently compact

Whether you’re a parent who’s outfitting your budding rock star with a first electric guitar or a seasoned player looking for a travel-ready Stratocaster, the Squier Mini Strat is a fantastic option. The guitar’s 22.75-inch scale length makes finger stretches much easier, and little hands will love the slimmer neck profile. And the Mini Strat’s body is about three-fourths the size of a full-size Stratocaster, making it comfortable and easy to fit into overhead airplane compartments.

Big Strat tone

Like its bigger cousins, the Squier Mini Stratocaster is loaded with the bell-like tones of three single-coil pickups. This arrangement offers some of the most popular and iconic guitar tones in history. Combined with a 5-way pickup selector and volume and tone controls, you’ll be nailing the familiar tones of legendary Strat players, such as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Ritchie Blackmore. You’ll find a Mini Strat in many Sweetwater employees’ personal collections for just this reason!

A Stratocaster in every way

All the refined details that have made the Stratocaster one of the most legendary instruments in history can be found on your new Mini Strat. The comfortable and familiar forearm and body contours make playing the guitar a joy, and your Strat will ring true, thanks to the Indian laurel–capped maple neck. The 6-saddle hardtail bridge allows for fantastic intonation up and down the guitar’s neck. And you’ll love the striking image cut by the Squier Mini Strat’s large ’60s-style headstock.

  • 3 Stratocaster single-coil pickups

Mini squire

It's ok if you know how to set it up correctly. What did I do?Disasembled neck and headstoke, sanded down with 2000gr
Then light coat of linseed oil, neck had no visible finish.Just bare wood.oiled fret board, put on Ernie ball strings, polished frets, they were dull, all nuts on tunners were loose, holes in headstoke are so big you can move them back and fourth assume about 10,000ths.To big, after all this work about 2hrs later it was playable.I like as fast a action as I can get away with. After all the work plugged into the Ampeg 1x15 I now sounds awsome. If you want to put all the time and effort into getting it playable and you already know a lot about base setup then you'll like it if not by Ibanez micro instead if I knew all the stuff I had to get to to get it to the point where I really like it I think I would have bought the Ibanez instead but having done all the work on it it didn't bother me and now I have a nice sounding short scale bass.
