Traditional Performance with Radical Convenience

With the unveiling of the Travelcaster Deluxe, Traveler Guitar introduces a new level of mobile convenience. Not only does the Travelcaster Deluxe remain a 25.5-inch-scale-length solidbody electric guitar while only measuring 33.75 inches long, but it also comes in at a comfortable 5 lbs. with only the essential body contours included. Onboard you'll find a familiar trio of single-coil pickups and controls that remind you of your favorite S-style guitar. And you'll love the vintage-style tremolo and large tremolo block for pitch control and added sustain.

Travel convenience from the company that defines it

The Travelcaster Deluxe puts everything you love about your favorite instruments into a package that's ready for the road. From the tip of the headstock to the back of the bridge, the guitar only measures 33.75 inches and weighs a bit over 5 lbs. And you get all of that without losing anything that makes the guitar a great instrument. Your Travelcaster Deluxe easily fits in your luggage, backpack, or the overhead rack on the plane. And it even comes with its own custom, low-profile gig bag.

Iconic single-coil tones

Unlike other compact and travel-ready instruments, the Travelcaster Deluxe comes with a full setup of great-sounding electronics that will give any electric guitar a run for its tonal money. Three single-coil pickups deliver all the chime, snap, and bloom they're known for. You'll be dialing up everything from Texas blues to country twang in no time. And the traditional 5-way pickup selector and placement of the three control knobs are a big hit with Sweetwater guitarists. As soon as you pick the guitar up, it'll sound inspiring and familiar.

Traditional construction elements

While some extra bulk may have been removed from the Travelcaster Deluxe, what remains is a traditionally crafted solidbody electric guitar that feels great. The body is crafted from poplar, which is a popular tonewood for its sound and general light weight. The maple neck is bolted to the body in the classic manner with the addition of a comfortable neck heel contour. And to top it all off, Traveler Guitar installed a vintage-style tremolo with thick tremolo block to give you the most sustain and control possible.

Traveler Guitar Travelcaster Deluxe Features:

  • Full-scale S-style electric guitar with travel-ready compact design
  • Traditional tonewood complement of poplar and maple
  • 3 single-coil pickups deliver familiar bell-like tone and chime
  • Vintage-style tremolo for adding expressive pitch control
  • Only 5 lbs. 3 oz. and 33.75 inches long
  • Includes quality padded gig bag

Excellent guitar...

Typically I avoid spending under 1k for a guitar and I really try to avoid anything under 7 strings. But I needed an affordable guitar with the single coil pickups to really get that prog tone I was chasing. Also, I can't stand normal looking guitars. So I ordered this travelcaster and was more than surprised with the craftsmanship. The tremolo bar is beyond fun, the neck feels rather flat for a 6 making taps really easy and smooth sounding. The pickups are just wonderful and really gets that polyphia and plini type tones. It's not something I'd use for the heavier stuff like deathcore drop G stuff, but it can certainly handle some djenty stuff in drop C though I currently have it simply in drop D and it's been a blast. Anyways, this is an excellent instrument I'd recommend it to anyone looking for that prog sound. Given the quality you get for the price, I really don't have any complaints. Not to mention a pretty nice padded gig bag comes with this.
Music background: Deathcore, tech death, aliencore, prog, folk, punk. All the fun stuff.

i honestly love this thing

like another wrote, i was looking for that sound you can only get from single coil pick ups. the reviews on here were a bit mixed, but i had to give it a shot. love the color, love the super weird shape, and of course love the price point. the gig bag is great! but man okay. once i grabbed myself a guitar strap for this baby i just felt totally FREE playing this thing. apologies for my lack of terminology but the switch that has five different tone capabilities, oh my god!! its like owning multiple guitars in one. you can get so loud and still get such a clear sound. i haven't bothered to change the strings. one thing i did have to do though, the aux input spot was loose so i youtube'd how to open that up and tighten that and i've been dandy since! but even without plugging it in at all you can still enjoy fiddling around with this travelcaster. it just might be my favorite guitar. for me the spacing on the neck, both between frets and between strings is perfect. if you're thinking about it, just go for it! it is so fun. reminds you it's all about enjoyment and not Endless Grinding And Improvement And Work lol

Travelcaster

Sweet water is the best!
Although this is not the best quality.
Having said that
The action is nice.
After using and tuning for 3 days, it stays in tune or very close to it now.
I don't use the wammy bar but I guess it's ok.
The pickups and tone controls give good control for highs and lows.
For me it's great for traveling.

Great for what it is ... but don't expect it to replace your guitars

I rented a strat on a recent trip for 100.00 and a friend said, "Why not just buy a Travelcaster?" .. so I did. It's great. Lightweight, I take it on the plane (just ask the flight attendants if you can place it in the closet at the front of the plane) and with my Scarlett Solo, I'm jammin' on the road with my Mac. I love it for working out ideas, writing songs, practicing songs .. look, I'm not going to record my next EP with it .. but man, this is a game changer. I love it so much, I even bought one for a friend of mine. - it's a no-brainer. Wish the strings were better .. and the whammy bar is kinda cheap ... but otherwise, love my baby Strat!

Just not for me

For the price its a decent travel guitar. I sold mine because I couldn't get used to the body.
