Deep and Full Vintage Flatwound Tone

La Bella's Flatwound Deep Talkin' Bass strings became a top choice for professional bass players way back in the 1950s, and their popularity has never flagged. Made from hand-polished stainless steel, these flatwound bass strings deliver a profoundly deep and vibrant tone with all the sustain you could ask for, and they retain their tone well after standard flatwounds have gone dead. No strings on the market play as smooth on a standard electric bass, and they feel absolutely luxurious on a fretless. If you're in the market for superior flatwound strings, La Bella's Flatwound Deep Talkin' Bass strings are it.

Centuries of expertise in each set of La Bella strings

La Bella strings are the top choice for musicians ranging from world-famous artists such as Willie Nelson, Bryan Adams, and Ron Carter to everyday players like many of us here at Sweetwater. Their heritage reaches back to the Mari family of Salle, Italy, in the 17th century, and they became famous throughout Europe, even supplying violin strings to Amati and Stradivari. In the early 20th century, brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari moved the string operation to New York, founding the modern La Bella company. Today, La Bella strings are considered among the finest in the world, and we think you'll agree when you hear what they can do for your favorite instrument.

Reviews

Awesome strings
Due to my 'mature' skin issues on my hands I've been using flat/coated strings on my P bass and recently aquired this new Warwick set up in B.E.A.D. tuning with a .135" B string. The stock strings were noisy and tough on my finger tips regardless of callusing but otherwise a great tone. I took a chance with this 5 string LaBella set with a similar set diameter of the first 4 stock strings in extra long scale and WOW!... what a sound! Lost the unneeded noise and kept the awesome tone and punch especially in the E.A.D. strings, the B string is much funner now for my fingers too, just a killer tone overall. No need to look any further, these are my new keeper strings. And if anyone needs to know, Zac Coleman is the man!
Music background: Blues and Rock Vocalist, drummer, bassist.
