A Deluxe Schecter 5-string That Rocks

The Schecter C-5 Deluxe is a bass guitar you need on your radar! Built with a basswood body, the C-5 Deluxe was tailor-made for rock, metal, and any genre that requires serious performance. A sturdy bolt-on neck joint joins the maple neck to the body for sturdy playability and plenty of sustain. Meanwhile, a rosewood fingerboard feels smooth and substantial under the fretting hand. Lastly, Schecter Diamond Bass humbuckers sit nested in the basswood body, ready to growl with Schecter low-end goodness at every gig. The C-5 Deluxe proves you don’t have to spend half your life savings to get a gig-worthy low-end axe.

Effortlessly playable “C”-shaped neck

Designed for all kinds of modern rock and metal genres, it’s safe to say the C-5 Deluxe can meet the demands of today’s most technical bass players. While its basswood body lends some severe low-end brutality, the C-5 Deluxe’s neck is the cherry on top. The maple neck is cut to a Thin “C” profile and is capped with a sublime, 16-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, rounding out the perfect recipe for fast, unfettered fretting from head to heel. Sweetwater bassists are thoroughly impressed with how easy it is to execute fast runs on this C-5 Deluxe.

Schecter electronics for dedicated tone sculpting

The Schecter C-5 Deluxe Bass sets you up for tonal success with its Schecter Diamond Bass humbuckers. These pickups can deliver a wide-ranging selection of tones, making the C-5 Deluxe a superb bass for a range of genres. This Schecter electronics system also packs a 2-band EQ and a blend knob to sculpt the perfect sound. So get out there and jam, the Schecter C-5 Deluxe will follow you anywhere!

Reviews

Rated 3/5
Maybe I expected too much?
Firstly, kudos to Sweetwater (Candace) for helping me make things right on this purchase. I got this bass as my first, after years and years of playing electric guitars. Upon receiving it, first impressions were pretty solid! - Did a string change, and found that the silver 'paint' on the bridge was extremely brittle. The paint was literally flaking off of the saddles at multiple points, so even with gentle wiping down with a cloth, the silver flakes were just falling off. Candace helped me get with Schecter and they sent me an entirely new bridge, but I can tell it's made from the same cheap painted stuff that it came with originally. Long story short, I'm replacing all the hardware with aftermarket parts. The body, and neck, as well as all of the controls feel really solid and usable. I love the EQ controls, personally. Neck feels really good! Overall, for me, a solid 3 out of 5. I expect them to cut costs somewhere. But for the paint to be flaking off of a brand new guitar, I just… nope. Cheers! (The picture was of the first time I noticed the paint chipping off, and it was solely on the saddle. Since the photo was taken, the paint has flaked off in other places as well, exposing the copper/zinc underneath)
