Growly Bear
My lead singer named her Growly Bear and I'd have to agree with her! Surprising depth of thunder combined with light weight makes this bass a pleasure to play rock or funk licks on stage with round wounds. And I'm also not too concerned about her taking a beating due to low cost and solidity. And nothing marrs her weird natural wood finish because she's just a plank of resonant wood with pickups in her.

At less than $ it doesn't get much better than this
My Ibanez GSR100ex arrived nearly ready to play. Just tuned her up and off I went to bass heaven. Hardly any setup needed to be done. The body gives me old barn wood vibes... which I really dig. It's absolutely beautiful. The neck is as smooth as butter. Has a soft satin feel that my thumb just effortlessly glides over. The single humbucker is warm, robust and can growl. A lot of tone shaping can be had with that one pickup, one volume pot and one tone pot.
Sure, the tuning pegs and whatnot are not top of the line, but they are more than functional and perform well.
I love this bass!

My first base [sic]
Been playing with my mates, we all met during an evacuation for wildfires here last summer. I play a 75 Gibson SG. Our drummer wanted to play bass so I got a bass so we could kind of learn bass together. We already had a bass but having 2 made it easier to learn. This bass is so nice and I was very surprised in the quality. Since I don't actually play bass I didn't want to spend a lot but I got a lot of instrument and I love the natural wood. It's like the Akubra hat of bass guitars, Dinkum.

Unreal...
I own a lot of basses. Fender, Warmoth...etc.
This is about my favorite casual bass. It sounds like a good Rickenbacker when you get aggressive. But it doesn't have any of the issues of a Rickenbacker. It can also sound more like a Fender if you're less aggressive. The pickup is hot and sounds great. I also think they put the pickup in the sweet-spot. It's easier to play than any of my other 34" scale Basses. Anyway, I love it and for the money it's crazy. The neck is just perfect for me and I'm Mr Average height/size...

Great bass
I love this bass. It has an great sound. I like the thinner neck and is easier to make notes. Has a great feel to it.
