The Matriarch of all Bags
I'm usually a fan of Mono bags, so I was waffling between this and the (bucks cheaper) Mono M80 Accessory case, which has similar dimensions. At long last, I decided for this bag to play it safe and protect a rare Matriarch Black from getting dented during transport as best as possible.

Well, what do you know, it fits the Matriarch exactly. It comes with a shoulder strap and two backpack straps. The latter are a nice plus, should you ever find yourself in the situation to haul this thing on a bike or possibly (and more likely) you need hands free to haul other stuff at the same time.

A word of advice: attaching the backpack straps is kinda hard, and there are no instructions in what way to fiddle them through the loops. I figured it out after looking at magnified product pictures: You insert the top end of the backpack strap into the strap loops from the bottom so it sticks out on top. Then, you loop the end around and insert it *again*, but only through the lower loop. The last step is hard and it requires patience, but as they say in Germany: "the steady drop carves the stone". For your sanity's sake, you should study this a bit first, so you get it right the first time. Pro tip: use a thin but dull metal tool to help, for example the reverse end of tweezers. I included a picture of the connected strap for information purposes.

One other very minor thing is that the handle could be more comfortable to hold. Again, I'm a spoilt Mono case user, so this is something others may find a non-issue. But if you add weight with multiple cables, power supply, expression pedal and other things, the bag gets quite heavy and the handle might feel a bit uncomfortable to one's delicate synth-user paws. In that case, the shoulder strap or backpack strap helps. Or chances are - if you can afford this sort of gear - you don't have to carry it yourself anyway.

This bag, while it's quite well-built and with ample padding, is at the end of the day a soft bag. It's for in-town transport, storage or minor touring. You can put it next to heavy gear, but you shouldn't stack something heavy on top of it. If you need to do air travel or ship your Moog, then you'd better invest in a hard case, so you might possibly look in that direction from the get-go...

Amazing!
Absolutely a fantastic case! The build quality is great… plenty of room to fit any patch cables, manuals, audio cables, etc. The only complaint I have about this case are the backpack straps. The straps tend to fall when you have the bag on your backs. The case won't fall off your back but you will have to constantly readjust the straps back to what's comfortable.
Almost perfect
The instrument fits in here beautifully (my opus 3) and the case seems sturdy and well made. I'm dinging it 1/2 a star because the backpack straps don't work so well. In the future I will knot the straps so they don't create slack. Besides that I'm very happy with the purchase. My husband would roll his eyes if he knew how much I paid for this but the instrument needs protection and a hard case was not going to work with the 3 flights of stairs I have to climb up and down regularly along with a mixer, keyboard stand, and accompanying pedals and cables. I'm 5'1" so trying to carry a 55-60 lb item of that size regularly would probably be the death of me. This case is quite light. The total weight with keyboard and cables is probably 30-35 lbs. I do really like how firm the shell is, but it is form fitting so it's not creating the bulk a hard case would. The true value is yet to be seen - how long will the zippers last? Keeping my fingers crossed. Sweetwater shipped this item immediately so that was great receiving the item within about a week from ordering it. Thought it would take much longer and their customer service rep was outstanding. BTW - I ate the tootsie roll first and the mary jane second. Thank you sweetwater folks.

Want real Moog sound? Take it from the die-hard analog synth masters here at Sweetwater: buy a Moog. It doesn't matter which one; their synths start at top quality and only go up from there. Sweetwater's relationship with Moog goes way back, and some of us fondly remember the last time Bob himself came to visit. Over the years, we've had the honor of watching Moog grow and evolve, and with synthesis experts like Daniel Fisher on staff, we're still one of the first companies to catch wind of new Moog products - they never fail to impress! Whether it's a classic reissue, a breakthrough new keyboard, or even a cool effects pedal, you can be sure anything you get from Moog will make you happy, and we'd love to tell you all about it.
