Fixed Mounting with the Desk-insert Bushing
Many Sweetwater customers prefer to permanently attach their Blue Compass desk-mountable boom arm to their desktop. If you're in that camp, the Compass desk-insert bushing makes it easy. It's simple to install, provided that you're comfortable with power tools. First, you drill a 1-inch hole in your desktop at least 2.5 inches from the edge of the desk. Then you unscrew the nut from the desk-insert bushing and insert the bushing into the hole. Next, you screw the nut back onto the bushing from the underside of your desktop (make sure it's good and tight). Finally, lower the Compass boom arm into the bushing until it's secure and rotates smoothly in both directions. Feel free to call your Sales Engineer if you have questions.
