Take Command of Your Sound Environment

The Behringer ULTRAZONE ZMX8210 V2 distributes music and announcements to up to three destinations. This 8-channel, 3-bus rackmountable zone mixer can play music for clients in the lobby while paging employees in a different area. You can also play background music in your church’s foyer, while miking the pastor in the sanctuary and sending the sermon and music to the nursery — its uses are endless. The ZMX8210 V2 is packed with essential features, including -20dB pads, Level/Clip indicators, and +48V phantom power to ensure top quality. You also get a global 4-band EQ and global highpass filter for fine-tuning your sound, along with a channel muting system with Priority select and remote control and link ports for added flexibility. Tailor-made for fixed installations, the ULTRAZONE ZMX8210 V2 is a flexible piece of gear.

Inputs ready for whatever signal you need distributed

When your Sweetwater Sales Engineer helps you design your audio systems, they need to know how many inputs you need. Consider all that you'll need to cover with a mixer and use the six ultra-low noise Mic/Line inputs with individual Gain control, -20dB pads, Level/Clip indicators, +48V phantom power, and bus-assign switches to mix music, microphones, or larger mixer outputs however you need to achieve the desired output in a specific area. You also get two selectable stereo inputs with Mono/Stereo switches and RCA connections. And if you need more than eight channels, link two ULTRAZONE ZMX8210 V2s together using the dedicated bus links, for a total of 16 inputs.

Outputs ready for wherever you need signal distributed

The Behringer ULTRAZONE ZMX8210 V2’s three assignable outputs — Left, Right and Aux — with individual controls and 5-segment LED meters send your audio wherever you need it. What’s more, you can install remotes to control volume or completely quiet a zone. A 4-band EQ and global highpass filter make sure your announcements are heard clearly and help control feedback issues.

Features that make this mixer even easier to choose

Behringer made sure the ULTRAZONE ZMX8210 V2 was as useful to you and your needs as it could be. Its control panel is a breeze to navigate — even the most inexperienced hostess or volunteer can use this mixer. But easy to use doesn't mean stripped down — the ZMX8210 V2 is full of pro-level features like variable Threshold on channel one for ducking audio for priority announcements. A Select switch routes the microphone bus post remote control, so your message is heard even if an area's volume is turned down. You also get an integrated channel muting system with Priority select for even more versatility.

Reviews

Rugged mixer that takes the abuse of race tracks.

I used this mixer extensively for motorsport (motocross and dirt track cars) racing venues. I also have one in a portable rack that travels a lot for various events. (See the photo.) It has low background noise (low noise floor), great sound quality and the ducking on Mic 1 works flawlessly. I have used them for 9 years now with no issues. (The other review on here, I suspect since his complaint was with the 7/8 inputs and ducking, I am willing to bet he was overdriving those inputs hard to cause the issue he mentioned.) I have had NO issues, I use an iPod or my phone (you MUST USE the correct breakout cable with all phones, as the phone jack is TRSS, NOT TRS. A TRS cable may feed control voltages or mic phantom power to the mixer inputs) and even when the volume of the iPod or phone is accidentally left too high, I have yet to damage the inputs.

As always, take all reviews into account, but as I have a dozen of these mixers in service so far (half over 5 years old) with no issues, take this review into consideration.

Overall a versatile and great product for under $ that has proven to hold up.

Died in less than 2 years
Purchased this mixer for the ducking feature. You get what you pay for, though, as I started noticing problems with audio quality after about a year, and recently had a total failure. Both auxiliary inputs 7 and 8 (the only two RCA inputs on the device--of which you can only use one at a time) became ultra sensitive and are only passing high frequencies (1.5k-2.0k and above, if I had to guess). The ducking feature is gone entirely, or maybe it's permanently activated. There are no indicator lights or diagnostics I can use to find out. After using the X32 and quite enjoying it, I had hoped that Behringer left their past behind and were putting out quality products now, but this experience has me severely disappointed. I'm replacing this unit with a proper dbx ZonePRO.
