As much as some snare drums cost, this case is worth the extra $$$$. I've purchased a few for some of my nicer snares. Give Sweetwater a call for the best deal and service around!

Definitely a solid case to protect your equipment with. I like the fact that it is waterproof. My snare (dialtune snare) fits super snug because I have large lugs on the sides of it so you might keep that in mind if your snare is a little wider than the average snare. Overall, this case feels like my snare is very well protected in many different aspects and environments. Hang loose ya'll!

I needed a road case for a wood snare that would not only keep the shell safe but protect it from humidity and/or moisture and this is the one. I looked at ATA cases but they didn't include the features SKB provided. This case is VERY sturdy and super padded on the inside so I definitely don't worry about my shell being damaged in transport. The padding in the lid is removable (actuially, all of the padding is removable) to allow for adjustment of depth so I can use the same case for snares of differing depths. SKB made this case water tight so I'm not worried about my snare being under a bus or in a plane cargo hold while traveling through any kind of inclement weather (you can actually hear the air seal this case makes when you lock it down). Finally, if you don't yet have a SW sales agent, I highly recommend Jeff Bohan. He always has answers for my many, often ridiculous, questions and has fundamentally changed my equipment buying experience.
