A Baritone-scale Axe Built for Maximum Metalcore

Whether he’s lulling you into serenity with jazzy, atmospheric excursions or pummeling you into submission with a mudslide of detuned, nu metal-inspired riffs, Jinjer’s Roman Ibramkhalilov is a prog-metalcore grand master. That being the case, Roman’s signature Jackson MDK HT6 baritone electric guitar is an out-and-out sonic blowtorch with aggressive styling and high-level playability to match. The Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6’s ash body sports a contoured Dinky shape, and its artist-spec’d, 3-piece neck and 24-fret, compound-radius ebony fingerboard offer the perfect jumping-off point for players with a penchant for raging, blast beat-fueled riffage. The MDK HT6’s artist-voiced Jackson RI1 humbuckers will not only add serious substance to rapid-fire, subterranean riffs, but they’ll also tackle moody, ethereal cleans with maximum certainty. You also get a well-stocked arsenal of stage-worthy hardware, including a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, a Gotoh 510FX-6 hardtail bridge, and Jackson die-cast locking tuning machines. Hard-hitting players searching for an axe that can withstand a gale-force, down-tuned vortex will meet their match when they come face-to-face with the Jackson Pro Series Signature Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6.

Equipped for subterranean riffage

Ukrainian metalcore foursome Jinjer ranks among the genre’s most brutal exponents, and their guitarist, Roman Ibramkhalilov, is one of the primary reasons why. Indeed, Roman is a bottomless pit of devastatingly heavy riffage, and he needs a heavy-duty instrument — the musical equivalent of a jackhammer — to deliver his subterrestrial fretwork. That’s where the Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6 comes in. This 27-inch-scale baritone electric guitar is built around a contoured, Dinky-shaped ash body. Its ultra-comfortable 3-piece neck, made from a plank of wenge sandwiched between two pieces of maple, has been sculpted to artist-spec’d dimensions. The compound-radius ebony fingerboard is crowned with 24 jumbo-sized stainless steel frets.

Voiced for down-tuned distortion

When asked to describe his intentions during the tour to support Jinjer’s 2021 album, Wallflower, Roman casually remarked, “I almost feel sorry for anyone who comes out to our shows, because we are going to smash them!” Plug the Jackson Pro Series Signature Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6 into your favorite high-gain amplifier, and you’ll quickly discover that this statement wasn’t mere posturing. Quite the contrary, thanks to its Jackson RI1 humbuckers, Roman’s axe of choice contains more than enough firepower to achieve that goal. RI1 pickups excel under heavy distortion, especially in down-tuned scenarios. Interestingly enough, when we plugged in here at Sweetwater, we found that this flexible baritone delivers stellar, almost jazz-like clean tones. Simply put, if you want to smash your audience, the Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6 is the right tool for the job. That said, if you want to offer them a brief respite, this instrument’s clean tones are more than capable of delivering the goods.

Rugged enough to withstand anything

With the Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6 in hand, you can take the stage with extreme confidence. For starters, its Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut certifies that you’ll encounter zero bunching or kinking no matter how much you punish your strings. Its Gotoh 510FX-6 hardtail bridge combines a brass base plate with steel saddles to ensure a luxurious feel during palm-muted passages and rock-solid intonation. To top it off, the Jackson die-cast locking tuners facilitate lightning-fast string changes with lock-tight reliability. Metal guitarists should feel free to express themselves without worrying about how much punishment their instrument can take. You can breathe easily with the Roman Ibramkhalilov MDK HT6 baritone electric guitar.
