Make a Serious Statement with This ESP Baritone

Baritones require a bold approach — one that is immediately apparent in ESP's LTD M-201B baritone electric guitar. Armed with a single ESP LH-150B bridge pickup and a potent mahogany body, this axe is packed with power. Also onboard are a fixed LTD bridge, a molded nut, a smooth-playing 3-piece maple neck, and high-performance LTD tuning machines to ensure utmost performance and comfort in the face of any stage or studio playing situation. To boot, the LTD M-201B boasts a gorgeous gloss-finished body, cementing this axe as a serious work of art both in the hands of any discerning guitarist or in your 6-string collection.

Credibly built by ESP experts

Experienced luthiers at ESP selected mahogany as the LTD M-201B's tonewood of choice — a preferred pick given the guitar's status as a baritone instrument. More than other contemporary tonewood choices, mahogany amplifies the natural sound of your instrument while adding in much-needed richness and sustain, amounting to an electric guitar that fares well not only when plugged in but also played privately at home or in the studio. Finalized with a gorgeous gloss finish around the entire body, the LTD M-201B is extremely comfortable and handles well in the hands of any discerning guitarist or emerging musician.

A bastion of navigation

There's nothing like a maneuverable guitar, especially when your projects demand manipulation along the entire fretboard. Rest assured that the LTD M-201B baritone's 3-piece maple neck with a Thin-U profile is seamless to navigate, complete with a supple rosewood fretboard with offset dot inlays for increased accuracy during play. Down below, the guitar's LTD fixed tailpiece converges with a unique molded nut to ensure top-tier tonal authenticity and a smooth playing experience. It's all topped off with an exclusive collection of black hardware and LTD tuning machines to guarantee your intonation is always within acceptable ranges onstage or in the studio.

Power-packed ESP pickup

The ESP LH-150B is a highly configurable — and independently potent — pickup. As a result, Sweetwater guitarists were not surprised to find just how well it shines onboard the LTD M-201B baritone electric guitar. With ample coverage and a Volume knob with push-pull control, you'll be surfing tones from dropped-down rhythms to high-potency leads and riffs in no time flat. Topped off with a traditional humbucking design to cut back on external noise interference, the ESP LH-150B is a pickup you'll be more than glad to have onboard your new axe.

  • 6-string baritone electric guitar built with approachability and tone in mind

Reviews

The BEST Baritone money can buy!
So I had a 7-string guitar, a Jackson JS32, and it was good enough quality but I just hated playing the extra jumbo super wide neck. So I sold that one got this LTD M-201B and I have no regrets. It's significantly more comfortable to play and it's a heck of a lot better in terms of quality as well. And that's not to say the JS32 was bad quality, but this LTD is a step above. On top of all of that when I was looking around for a Baritone guitar there really wasn't anything else on the market that I could find that felt both appropriate for metal and also came in at a price as low as this. There's plenty of baritone guitars that are double and even triple this price, but in terms of value nothing touches this one. I did opt to change out the pickup to a Seymour Duncan Black Winter, not because the stock LTD pickup sounded bad. It sounded good, but mine was a little microphonic. I got a good bit of feedback with that pickup when I really cranked the gain. But after a quick pickup swap this guitar is perfect.
An absolute steal
I've had this guitar for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. The neck is comfortable, moving up and down the fretboard feels effortless. As well, the fretwork is basically perfect. The electronics aren't anything special, but they do their job and the output from the pickup is enough for some good old high gain chugga-chugga. The tuning stability could be better, but it's not atrocious. For the price, I couldn't ask for a better guitar.

high quality entry level baritone.
The title says it all, this is a high quality baritone for its price point and im absolutely floored with how good of a baritone guitar this is for its price. The Humbucker is not too bad but I went ahead and threw a Dimarzio X2N in and put on some locking tuners and im telling you this guitar absolutely holds its own with guitars for above its price point. After the upgrades, fresh strings and setup I cannot put this guitar down. 10 out of 10, highly recommended if your looking for a entry level baritone with a high quality build and being a decent modification platform.
Music background: down tuned metal
Fantastic Entry Level Baritone
I bought this guitar to expand into playing Baritone guitars. It's a fantastic option for someone looking for a budget friendly slam machine! Some say the pickup leaves something to be desired, but for the price I think it sounds great!
Worth every penny

Comes in B standard tuning. I tuned down to drop A and it sounds great. The ESP pickup sound really full and responsive. It plays great and feels good. For $ you can't beat it.

Doesn't stay in tune for a long time would be the only con. Not really an issue though.
