I was lucky and grateful to find a vintage 1966 Fender Vibro Champ, all original parts… unfortunately the 57 year old speaker was distorting at higher volumes. Finding a suitable replacement for the original 4ohm 8 inch speaker was so easy. The Eminence Patriot 820H is a perfect fit, fattened up the tones, and I could not be more pleased !!!

It was the perfect replacement for my Line 6 speaker. Nice upgrade.

It might sound crazy to invest this much into a $ amp, but the sound is so fantastic I don't need to invest a grand into a Fender practice amp. No longer a boxy SS amp - It has beautiful tonal range and clarity. The upgrade to my Peavey Rage was worth every penny. I play a Mex Strat clean and with a Boss FDR pedal - this Patriot makes the whole thing sing!

If your amps or pickups are to bright this speaker will tame it to usable bliss. Missing bass, this little speaker has a great bass response comparable to 10's and close to 12's. Very efficient to for its size. I could see this being a gem for recording and possibly harmonica players not limited to guitar.

Got this to replace the stock weber in my 2023 57 champ re issue. I liked the stock weber up to 4 or 5 on the dial but after that it got muddy and boxy... I never got it to sound good breaking up when cranked. I swapped for this eminence speaker and wow. Break up is great now and I can dime this thing out now without it getting muddy and boxy. I use to have to clip the lows with a mxr Timmy pedal to get it to sound good to my ears in the room. I can tell this speaker still needs to break in but it's already a heck of an improvement, does kinda feel like a 10" in the room too.
