Value-packed, Boutique-grade 5-string Multi-scale Bass

Looking for a boutique-grade multi-scale 5-string bass that is a cut above the competition? Consider the Ibanez Bass Workshop SRM805. Featuring deep cutaways that let you freely access the highest register, this instrument’s lightweight, sleekly contoured body fits you like a glove, and the neck — well, let’s just say that Ibanez necks are justifiably famous for their high-speed maneuverability — and that’s before we even get into the benefits of a multi-scale fretboard. With a longer scale on the bass side of the instrument and a shorter scale on the treble side, multi-scale instruments offer you better intonation and more consistent tension and attack from string to string. In the tone department, this formidable axe is equipped with a pair of premium Bartolini BH2 pickups and a custom Ibanez preamp with 3-band EQ, giving you access to a vast tonal range. Packed with features, playability, and performance, this superb bass guitar is a fantastic value. Grab it now!

Bartolini classic soapbars deliver the tone

Bartolini BH2 passive pickups deliver classic soapbar pickup tone on demand. Their dual-coil humbucking design bucks the annoying hum while also delivering the beefy tone. They’re amazingly responsive, too. Dig in, and they growl with the big cats. Pull back, and they’re sweet and clear. Go ahead: slap and pop — they thrive on abuse! Bartolini’s Classic Bass series pickups are popular with progressive, jazz, gospel, and metal musicians for whom articulation is critical. In addition, you have the powerful sound-shaping capabilities of Ibanez’s custom preamp with 3-band EQ. It all adds up to massive tonal capabilities that you can tap for any genre, onstage and in the studio.

Ibanez: guitar and bass powerhouse

Ibanez’s obsessive attention to detail has made the company a global guitar and bass powerhouse, but it didn’t happen overnight. Ibanez began its life in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company didn’t get into the guitar business until 1929, when it started importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began building Spanish acoustic guitars under the “Ibanez Salvador” name, which was later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez started manufacturing electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when it started producing guitars based on American designs. By the late 1970s, Ibanez began manufacturing the innovative, original guitar and bass designs that the company is now known for. The company is also famous for its effect pedals, most notably the Tube Screamer. Sweetwater is proud to offer you such a fine line of distinguished musical instruments.
