Stomp on Your Horse and Ride

Lasso some serious tone courtesy of the Behringer Zentara, a faithful rendering of the legendary ’90s-era overdrive with transparent, amp-like tone and response. This guitar pedal bears all the major hallmarks of its predecessor, from its germanium clipping diodes to its vintage-inspired housing. The Zentara replicates the original stompbox’s dual-concentric Gain knob, enabling you to craft boost, overdrive, and all-out grind without sacrificing your core tone. You also get Treble and Output knobs, which allow you to dial in your high frequencies and adjust how hard you hit the input of your amplifier. You’ll revel in the expansive dynamic range afforded by the Zentara's stepped-up internal voltage, and its high-quality buffered bypass maintains every ounce of your tone over long cable runs. We’ve played through the gamut of transparent overdrive-style pedals here at Sweetwater, and Behringer’s Zentara holds its own against the lot of them. Let's face it, these sought-after original dirt boxes command a hefty price tag on the vintage market. The Zentara is exactly what you need to satisfy your tonal craving!

Reviews

Great tone
This thing sounds great with a Les Paul and with the Firebird IV. That mix of dirty with the clean tone on top of it givea a really nice articulate sound. This is by far the best Klon clone for the money.
Great Value in Tone and Price
It seems to me that Behringer has begun to step up it's game and the Zentaur is evidence of that. Not a cheap plastic enclosure here, solid metal and built like a tank. It's a quiet pedal regarding unwanted noise and plays well with other pedals such as a boost. About that price, I don't know how they got it so inexpensive. I would recommend this pedal to a new player and to any intermediate or expert as well. I have one other Klone pedal and it's OK, this one I instantly fell in love with. Now I've never played a real Klon, but this sound of this must be pretty close as the patent owners of the Klon circuit felt they needed to bring a lawsuit and hence the shipping date of this pedal was delayed a couple of times. I'm glad Behringer stuck with it and released the pedal. It's living on my Blackstar and not comming off. Got to love the Sweetwater feature of 'notifying when in stock'. As soon as I saw that message in my inbox, I purchased it without delay.

New pedal !
I really like this Zentara pedal . It opens up the sound of my guitar just a little bit making it sound more full to me . It just seems like there's a lot more sound in the same space to me . I'm not a professional so I can only tell you what I think . I do like it and actually got a second one for my son (in law) and I hope he'll like it too . Maybe we'll get to jam together sometime , who knows .
Music background: Novice but taking lessons soon !
Behringer Centaur
Well, it took nine months to get it but I am happy with the sound. So far I have only used it with my Blackstar practice amp but I think it will work great as a gain/volume boost for solos with my JCM800...
Interestingly, this box says Centaur on it as opposed to Centara or Ventara which is what the name was supposedly changed to because of the lawsuit...
Behringer Zentara Pedal
Now this is an overdrive pedal. The sound is very much like the overdrive pedals I used back in the late 1960's. Thank you Behringer and Sweetwater for this fine pedal. It brings back a lot of memories.
