A Compact Record-ready Mixer!

The Allen & Heath ZED-10 is the perfect center to your portable live rig - and it's also ready to rock in the studio. First of all, the ZED-10 gives you all the connections you need to hook up a small band, a duo, or a solo performer. Thanks to the four mic/line channels (these preamps are awesome, by the way) you can connect all the mics and DI boxes you need. Plus you've got three dual-stereo channels available, each with a gain control and a 2-band EQ. You can send a stereo signal via USB right to your computer, or use the USB port for stereo playback. Plus, you get three send/return busses for recording, playback, and external FX. That's a lot of power! You can't go wrong with the Allen & Heath ZED-10!

I needed something that would handle a few instruments and vocals but didn't break the bank account.
This unit is very well built, very easy to use, and has some great effects built into it.
I've had several public outings with it now and it works like a charm every time! For someone in the market looking for a beginners rig mixer for PA this thing works like a charm!!!

I now have 2 identical mixers. When my music partner and I perform, we count in our equipment to function properly.

We have back-up systems, including the mixers. I chose Allen & Heath because if the quality and ease of use.

Like all electronic devices, they seem to fail at the worst times...such as getting thru part of a set. The show must go on, so redundant systems keep the performance alive.

Sweetwater is THE way to go. For expertise and advice...my supplier is now Sweetwater.

My first impression was that it had a little less very low-end than the Mackie it was replacing. But other than that the build quality is excellent, and the EQs are great. I miss having channel inserts, but for my needs, this board is great.

I have to say I am very pleased and surprised at the build quality of this little mixer.....nothing touches it at this price range, bought it mainly for phones jamming and mixing my personal gear at home and I am very happy with my choice.

If your like me you spend countless hours A/B ing gear back to back in hopes of having no regrets when you drop your wad of cash and I can already see that Allen and Heath did not skimp on the quality of even their lowest priced gear..... the only thing I can forsee regretting at this point is maybe not spending more for a larger model, other than that, have no fears, you will be impressed with the quality of this heavy little beast... and it is a beast.

I replaced a Soundcraft EPM8 with this board, works well. The two boards are pretty similar, I find the EQ on the Allen 7 Heath a bit more exact. I haven't used the pre-amp's on either enough to judge, but they feel similar too. Just what I wanted, a nice, clean sound with a pretty small footprint.
