Spacious and Adaptable to Any Effects Chain

D'Addario's XPND Large Pedalboard gives you all the real estate you could ever ask for in a pedalboard. Gigging musicians here at Sweetwater love the patented telescoping technology of this board — making last-minute additions and subtractions to your pedal chain is fast and easy. Its convenient adjustability proves not only useful for quick changes during soundcheck, but also for minimizing or maximizing the amount of space you want to occupy in your home studio or practice space. With pedal safety and efficient loading in mind, the XPND's mounted rubber feet and lightweight aluminum body combine for both performance stability and ease-of-transport between gigs. Pairing nicely with D'Addario's separately sold Backline Transport Bag, you'll always be one step ahead when it comes to the grueling process of loading and unloading.

D'Addario XPND Pedalboard — Large Features:

  • Large, double-row design to accommodate larger effects setups
  • Expandable and retractable telescoping engineering for adding and subtracting pedals and effects with ease
  • Excellent for onstage use as well as for circuit building in practice/studio areas
  • Mounted rubber feet and lightweight aluminum structure are great for stability and reduced strain during transport
  • Travel made even easier with D'Addario's Backline Transport Bag (sold separately)

Perfect for small gig, fits about a dozen effect pedals.

For my DIY pedalboard project, I went from pedaltrain Metro 18 to this amazing expandable pedalboard by D'Addario. It comes with velcro and some plastic parts for cable management. Plenty of room underneath for multiple power supply (I have 2 voodoo lab powerplus 2).

XPND Pedal board

Great design. I told Zach what I was looking for and he recommended this board. I asked him to ship it and I absolutely loved this board. It's made extremely well.It was easy to assemble and I love the fact that the female velcro was already on bouth top and bottom of the cross bars. This pedal board is a well thought out design and comes with a great system of securing the wiring too.through the years I've accumulated alot of pedals some I liked right away some sat in boxes because at the time U didn't appreciate them. With this board I can mix and match try different orders on different guitars and amps with a lot of pedals finding the right set up for me It's worth the money and will last a lifetime. It also has enough hight to get your power supply under it easily.

One board to rule them all!!!

Extremely well engineered pedal board. Very sturdy and is a great option for players who like to swap pedals in and out frequently. Great cable management, pre-installed soft-side hook/loop, and the optional risers are a nice touch.

Also noteworthy is that the large Walrus Audio Phoenix power supply does just fit mounted to the underside without pressure due to touching the floor.

Shout out to Nicholas Weaver for helping out as always and working through D'Addario to get me the dimensions I needed to know for my application. Cheers! :)

Pedalboard life made easy

Hook and latch tape is phenomenal, and already on the top and underside. Board is massive, and the additional riser is a fantastic help in reaching that second row

First pedal board, and this fits the bill

I'm building out my first pedal board, mostly so it's more convenient to move my pedals around as one cohesive unit. I don't have a ton of pedals right now, but I really liked the idea of a board that could grow as needed, so when I saw this was being released soon I decided to wait for it so I could get this one instead of a fixed-size board.

The board seems very solid and high quality. There are two locking latches that keep the board set to your desired length, but even with these unlocked it takes some effort to extend or collapse the board, which I think is probably a good thing. Apart from the removable cable guides, I think the latches are the only plastic pieces on the board, so if anything is going to break it will probably be those, and even if they do break it shouldn't be a big deal (since it takes effort to extend/retract).

A note about the cable guides -- another reviewer suggested that the cable guides do not fit. Perhaps they will see my review and this will help them. There are two different sizes of cable guide, since the bars are necessarily spaced differently in the "main" and "extended" sections. I can see in their picture that they are attempting to use the size intended for the "extended" section on the "main" section, which is why it will not fit.

I've included some pics of my first pass at putting some of my pedals and the new power supply on the board. I went kinda crazy on the power supply and bought a CIOKS CIOKOLATE so I'd have a ton of outlets. It fits well under the board with good clearance to the ground.

When assembling the board, make sure that you follow the pictorial directions closely and pull the extending bar sections out a bit before installing the middle aluminum plate. If the extending bar sections are pressed too far into the outer bars, you can screw one of the bolts into the end of each extending section about half way and use the bolt head to pull the sections out. Screw it in a decent ways so you don't damage the threads when pulling on the bolt.
