Easy setup
With the WMX1 Mk2, setup is easy. Its straightforward menu interface on the 4.3-inch capacitive touch TFT screen allows for effortless fixture selection, addressing, and grouping. Over 3,500 fixture profiles are onboard, with thousands more accessible through the WTOOLS companion app. The WMX1 Mk2 also includes ADJ’s cutting-edge Fixture Builder for creating custom profiles or for use with legacy fixtures, as well as the Fixture Calibration tool, which lets you define the area to be covered by moving heads.
Quick and intuitive to use
Once you’ve got it configured, the WMX1 Mk2 gives you independent control of up to eight groups of fixtures with 37 backlit silicone pads/buttons and four rotary encoders that let you trigger three different effects engines (Color, Move, and Beam) and tweak them separately for each group. You also have dedicated buttons for Strobe, Blinder, Speed, Blackout, and Smoke.
Power and flexibility
The WMX1 Mk2 supports up to four DMX universes and is equipped with four output sockets (two 5-pin and two 3-pin). You can map any universe to any output, which allows the WMX1 Mk2 to also function as a DMX splitter. Out of the box, the WMX1 Mk2 supports two universes, and two additional universes are available as upgrades via the WTOOLS app. The WMX1 Mk2 also sports an internal microphone and a 3.5mm line-in jack for automated bpm detection, as well as a button that allows you to tap the bpm in manually. The WMX1 Mk2’s on-screen Color Picker lets you select the perfect hue for your RGBW or RGBWA+UV LED fixtures. Other powerful features include automatic matching of similar GOBOs across disparate fixture types, a Fixture FLIP function for reversing beam order, a Fixture SPLIT for splitting up multi-effects bars, and auto-recovery of the active project so you don’t have to manually save it.

Notwithstanding its light weight (just 2.36 pounds) and compact footprint (7.68 x 8.66 x 2.44 inches), the WMX1 MK2 is built like a tank with a durable ABS shell, a powder coated steel base plate, and a reinforced back plate. Under the turret is a powerful 220MHz ARM-core CPU with 8MB of RAM plus 16MB of flash memory, which allows you to create complex, layered effects that run independently across multiple groups — all in real time.
