Adds Tube Character to Your Bass Tone

Conjure up legendary rock sounds with the Darkglass Electronics Vintage Microtubes bass preamp pedal. The bass players here at Sweetwater have used the Vintage Microtubes to craft warm, tube-like tones that not only sound natural, they actually feel that way, too. Playing through the Vintage Microtubes yields an organic compression reminiscent of classic tube amplifiers and old-school tape machines. Level, Drive, and Blend knobs dial in and fine-tune the Vintage Microtubes's clean and overdriven signals. This pedal's true gem, however, is its Era knob, which serves up everything from '70s midrange warmth to modern metallic punch. The Darkglass Electronics Vintage Microtubes bass preamp pedal - it's what your tone's been missing!

Reviews

Wanted some B15 Motown flavor & got so much more.
I also got one and it's awesome. Wanted something to elevate my tone on my bedroom studio demos. Gave my Sweetwater guy a list of like 5 things I was considering. His top pick was the Microtube, which surprised me, it had less features and may have been the cheapest thing on my list. So I got it cause it was under budget and I trust my guy.
Now it's an ALWAYS ON live and recording unit for me. With flats & foam or rounds on a fretless I have marked my sweet spots and if I want to crank the blend & drive: it does THAT THANG!!
Thanks Dibbz, you were 100% right.
Music background: Worship volunteer, bass player 20+ years and I guess YouTuber
Woahh!
I am blown away by how rad my bass sounds with this thing!!!
Warm Grit and Grind
I am running a GK 500w 2x12 that was just a little too clean and "quacky" after using an Ampeg combo for years. I wanted to warm it up just a bit. This pedal will do the job quite well. It is not a fuzz. It is not a distortion. It has a warm tube overdrive tone that will bring out the bass in a mix but is not overwhelming. The "era" knob covers a wide range of mid-scoops and its no problem to find a setting to cover whatever genre you are playing. It grinds, it growls. Im using Emg HZ soapbars, i cant imagine how this thing would sound through a active jazz bass. My first Darkglass product. I will be buying more.
Music background: Gigging bassist. Alternative metal, classic rock, country.
Love this pedal!!
This pedal is now one of my "always on" pedals. It is a good boost and adds just the right amount of grit when I really dig in!
Now she roars!
Always had trouble getting enough voice out of my double bass. Now she roars! The micro tube vintage really made a difference.
