Maximize Your S-style Guitar’s Tremolo Stability

Licensed by Wilkinson and crafted to Gotoh’s immaculate standards, the VS100N represents the pinnacle of modern tremolo performance. This 2-point tremolo comprises a superior foundation consisting of solid steel saddles, a zinc block, a locking pivot, and Gotoh’s own rock-solid arm holder system. Facilitating the best possible tuning stability, the VS100N’s saddles feature locking screws that clamp down onto the saddle’s assembly to eliminate movement and bolster sustain. To ensure a smooth installation, the VS100N includes the springs, spring holder, assorted wrenches, stud bolts, and everything else you need to get your 6-string up and running. And much to the pleasure of Sweetwater’s DIY modders, the Gotoh Wilkinson VS100N can be installed on scores of compatible S-style guitars with no modification required. Take vibrant vibrato inflections and screaming dive-bombs to a whole new level of tuning stability with Gotoh’s top-flight Wilkinson VS100N tremolo unit!

Gotoh: Japan’s leading hardware purveyor since 1960

Founded in 1960, Gotoh reigns as Japan’s perpetual champion of machine head manufacturing. The company’s seeds were planted in 1950 when Masao Gotoh’s research lab began producing strings for violins. Mid-century disruptions in music technology prompted a pivot to guitar hardware, and by 1960, Gotoh was ascendant in the guitar market. Today, dozens of worldwide brands finalize instruments using Gotoh tuners, tailpieces, and beyond, arming players with reliable string performance and impeccable tuning stability. While Gotoh aftermarket parts can be difficult to procure in the United States, Sweetwater’s direct relationship offers an attractively wide range of Gotoh parts. Here, you can also find aesthetics and technical features that fuel your vision, spanning vintage-inspired favorites to modern designs.

Reviews

Nice upgrade for my Partscaster
I am very pleased with the Wilkinson/Gotoh VS100N tremolo bridge on my homemade partscaster (some specs below). The tweakability is awesome and was installed with minimal issues once I got the hang of all the set points. It floats ideally. It intonated well on a short scale 24.5 inch scale Warmoth conversion neck. The wammy bar works smoothly and is a screw-in type with set screw. I ended up using 4 springs for more tension. I may go back to 3 springs later but would require resetting and readjusting many or all set points.

Specs on my new partscaster with said tremolo: Warmoth modern construction neck with Gibson scale conversion, 41 mm nut, canary fingerboard, contoured, gloss finish, NOS. Body: Mighty Mite Super Strat with quilted maple top, NOS. Fender Vintage 59 single coils plus Fralin Modern PAF tap coil humbucker in bridge position. Fender switch. CTS potentiometers. Fender Light strings. Foil insulated cavity and pickguard. Locking machine head tuners by Schaller.
High quality bridge
I replaced my Sterling LK100 bridge with this. It was an amazing upgrade! Besides look better, it feels and sounds better! Thanks for the great price and service, Sweetwater!
Goto Wilkinson Tremolo for S stle guitars
I've played Strats since 1991, always decked (set the bridge to non floating, dive only positions). afew years ago I put together an awesome parts caster and used this bridge. The world of floating trems is now open to me and other sub Beck/Hendrix guitarists!!
