Old-school Vibe with Modern Versatility!

The Bugera V22HD Infinium tube head packs a powerful punch in a 22-watt design. The 2-channel V22HD Infinium has three 12AX7 preamp tubes for pure tube-driven tone and a duo of EL84 tubes in the power amp stage. Whether you want creamy clean tones or burning overdrive, the V22HD Infinium has got it. You also get a vintage equalizer section with bass, mid, and treble controls, normal and bright inputs to help match your guitar to the amp, and a mode switch that lets you change the tubes between triode or pentode operation. A mid boost and a presence control round out the tone-shaping capabilities of the V22HD Infinium. You get a footswitch for switching channels and turning the built-in reverb on and off. If you want a versatile all-tube head at a great price, look no further than the Bugera V22HD Infinium guitar head.

Classic all-tube design provides sweet harmonics and warm distortion

Inside the Bugera V22HD Infinium amplifier head you'll find three 12AX7 preamp tubes, as well as two EL84 power tubes, giving you classic all-tube tone. The hand-selected 12AX7s provide you with everything from smooth harmonics to aggressive crunch, while the EL84s really drive the V22HD Infinium when pushed to the max. With the V22HD Infinium, you can conjure up anything from crisp chiming to classic crunch to metallic screaming.

Modern features provide you with a wide tonal palette

The Bugera V22HD Infinium amplifier head is definitely not a one-trick pony. Featuring a 2-channel preamp, you have access to both clean and high-gain tones. You also get a classic-style 3-band EQ (bass, mid, and treble) with a presence control, allowing for plenty of sound-tweaking. Finally, normal and bright inputs let you match the V22HD Infinium to your electric guitar's tonal characteristics in order to optimize your tone.

Infinium technology takes the hassle and expense out of tube tone

Sweetwater guitarists agree that there's no tone like tube tone. But we also know that the cost involved in owning and maintaining a tube guitar amplifier can be prohibitive. Solid-state amps have come a long way, but there's just something special about true tube tone, and Bugera's Infinium technology means no more compromising what you want. The Infinium circuit is designed to optimize the performance of your output tubes and distribute the load evenly between the tubes, giving you tonal integrity and reliability. By automatically adjusting current levels, aging tubes are compensated for and your tone retains that toasty, day one sound throughout its life. Tubes, by nature, do wear out and die, but when you play an Infinium amp, you'll never worry. This exclusive technology allows you to grab whatever replacement tube you have on hand and get back to playing - there's no matching necessary. In fact, now you can mix and match tubes to create your very own signature sound without the hassle and expense of buying matched pairs. And because Infinium is a bit like having your own guitar amp tech with you on every gig, you get up to 20 times more life out of your tubes. When it is time to change one out you'll know exactly where to go, thanks to the life monitoring LED readout that keeps you in the know about your amp's health. Only Bugera makes the joy of owning and playing a tube amplifier this accessible and easy!

Reviews

Great sound
Great cleans and distortion and price range is decent
I finally found my tone
This amp is worth every penny I spent on it. Super fine clean channel. Really nice overdrive channel. Switchable ohms for speakers. Footswitch for reverb and channel switching. Effects loop. Normal and bright inputs. A half power switch. Tons of adjustable tube tone.
Music background: Singer songwriter multi instrumentalist
Awesome little head
A little head that weighs a ton. 22 watts of thunder or cream depending how you use the controls
Can't go wrong.
. I have had it now for 6 months. It has become my all time favorite music purchase.

There was no doubt that this was a valve driven amp from the moment I hooked it up. There multiple features including reverb, clean and overdrive channels, 2 inputs slightly different voicings, 2 power settings, boost function each channel, effects loop and last but not least master vol. (Actually some other great features as well).

I have banged it around going to and from practice with 2 separate bands, I practice at home with it, and have played several shows with this head through a Mesa 212. Lots of positive comments from listeners and even other guitarist surprised by the sound of this cheap...err... value minded head.

Alright, the demerits. No cover. As heavy as my 100W Mesa head,(...but five times cheaper). Lower quality switches and jacks. No foot switch access to the boost function,(ehh, I'm OK with that). I've got no complaints about the overdrive channel as have some reviewers. Put an 808 in front of it if you really need more gain.

I have looked at this amp for years and I am glad I finally pulled the plug on the purchase. Thanks to Nolan Dye on this and other SW purchases. He was very helpful answering specific questions concerning features of this product.

Love this amp..go ahead.. pull the plug.

Vintage Sound
My 1971 HIWATT Custom 50 head had issues so I found this 22 watt Bugera head. Styled with similar controls, all tube and with reverb. It gives me the warm rich sound with the tube "Punch" that powers my 412 Music Man speaker cabinet. Sounds great with the single coil pick-ups on my Fender Strat. Very impressed and a Great price!
