worked with katana
got this for my grandson and he programmed our katana amps with it plus he is using it to record to the computer we haven't had any problems with it
Did Its Job
I had purchase a Maschine MkII, and the previous USB cable I had was not allowing transfer as needed. The Maschine MkII would not light up properly or trigger as needed. This cable works fine in that it fixed the problem.

Constantly losing connection
Not a big fan of this cable. Using it with my Alesis Surge kit to hook up to my PC for MIDI purposes and it will randomly lose connection requiring the connections to be reseated and the PC program to be reset. Not very ideal when you're a newbie trying to keep time with a song. Not sure if I just got unlucky with a bad cable, but I've read that this type of thing can happen when the cable is at fault. I know it's not a PC issue, nor does it seem to be an issue with my Surge module, so I'll keep investigating and update this review once I know 100%. For now, based on my research, it's likely the cable.
Bad cable
Spent 30 days trying to fix intermittent connection issues with a MIDI controller and all along it was a bad cable. It’s official now. I have thrown out every HOSA product I’ve owned from this to insert cables and instrument cables. They are either noisy or have mating issues. I never review but this is the last straw. You’ve been warned.
