The URSA Cine 17K 65 features a cutting-edge sensor designed to capture ultra-high-quality cinematic images at all resolutions from 4K to 17K. Measuring 50.8mm x 23.3mm, this ultra-large-format 65mm sensor builds on Blackmagic’s acclaimed CMOS technology with larger photo sites that allow for an incredible 16 stops of dynamic range at effective resolutions up to 140.8 megapixels (17,520 x 8,040). The sensor’s proprietary RGBW architecture hosts equal quantities of red, green, and blue pixels, optimizing it for the rendition of gorgeously rich colors at all resolutions to provide groundbreaking image quality and flexibility. Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science features a new film curve optimized to fully exploit the enormous amount of color data from the new URSA Cine sensor.
