Reviews

Great little mixer
This item is great. I use it for practicing guitar or bass. Bluetooth works great for connecting to the computer wirelessly to play along. Another pleasant customer experience dealing with Brandon and Sweetwater.

Truemix 600 and volume control independence for Headphones and Main Out
The Truemix 600 is an amazing mixer for keyboards and musicians/singers, especially given it's reasonable price.

Very few compact and affordable mixers will take mono and stereo outs from multiple instruments (e.g. 2 keyboards + 2 mikes) and run them through EQ, panning and external effects (via Aux send) for all inputs. It also supports USB and has Bluetooth inputs. Can't beat that IMO for on-stage and for at-home practice/recording.

From reading other reviews, I noticed that the single Alto Truemix 500's headphone volume is apparently affected by the Main Out knob. If that's the case, it's only a limitation with the Truemix 500, not the Truemix 600. With the Truemix 600, there's 2 headphone outputs and by connecting the headphones to the Control Room (#1) and pushing in the "2TK/USB to Main Out" button and then leaving the Control Room pushbutton out (Source=Main), then all inputs are heard (including the 2 track and USB inputs) and the headphone volume control (for Control Room headphones) is independent from the Main Out volume control.

So IMO, the Truemix 600 is considerably superior to the Truemix 500 (and other similar mixers in that price range), given the volume control independence aspect, additional headphone output, external effects routing and more inputs (Bluetooth and +1 audio input channel). All these could be considered hard requirements for the musician on stage that wants to give out a single output to the sound engineer (keyboardists especially).

I'd love to see a block diagram to confirm the difference between the 500 and 600. Alto has yet to release these details...
great mixer for practice.
this mixer works great for practicing. the bluetooth connection is great to connect to a computer and running your instrument through the board. I am able to mix they two nicely into my wireless in ear monitors.
