A High-end Traditional from Schecter

This classic-styled double-cut Schecter USA Traditional solidbody electric guitar got us pretty excited when we first heard about it at Sweetwater. The USA Traditional's alder body is highly resonant, giving you clear, bell-like highs, prominent mids, and meaty lows. A trio of VS-1 single-coil pickups delivers rich clean tones, plus ample output for pushing your amp into overdrive. Whether you play smoother styles or more aggressive rock, this Schecter USA Traditional solidbody electric guitar offers the tonal versatility you need to get the job done.

A familiar platform

All guitarists will appreciate the familiar lines, comfortable feel, and expected playability of Schecter's USA Traditional. The guitar's S-style body is sculpted to hug your body while playing seated or standing. The guitar's maple and rosewood neck are incredibly stable while imparting sustain to every note. The simplified single-volume, single-tone control layout is effortless to navigate. And you'll have total confidence in the guitar's smooth-acting vintage-style tremolo.

A trio of hand-wound pickups delivers monumental tone

Schecter pickups from the mid-'70s and early-'80s have become highly sought-after by players worldwide. Guitarists at Sweetwater are excited that Schecter is now making a complete line of custom pickups, including the VS-1 single-coil, all fastidiously hand-wound in the company's Sun Valley, California, factory. VS-1 pickups are known for rich cleans, with plenty of output on tap for biting, aggressive overdrive tone. Their Alnico V magnets are hand-beveled for optimum response across all strings.

Schecter Custom Shop USA Traditional Vintage Red Guitar Rocks

I think I may have changed my mind three times about which guitar I was going to purchase before settling on this one. And I am glad I did! Thanks to Sweetwater for their patience; they are always so good to work with. I was a little skeptical about Schecter since I didn't know much about them; but those fears were put to rest as soon as I took this baby out of the case. The quality of this guitar doesn't take a backseat to any of them. The pickups are hotter than most, but you can still get some great clean tones from all but the cheapest practice amps. Distortion or overdrive makes this guitar shine. In fact, I think with the right pedals, you could probably get just about any guitar tone out of this guitar - even though it only has one master volume and one master tone control, with the five-position switch. The fretwork is polished and beautiful, and your hand just glides over the satin neck. The locking tuners are a real plus and the case is top notch. The is a beautiful guitar with that simple vintage look. Never thought I'd ever buy a red guitar, but I can't put this one down!
Music background: Some would say that I own too many guitars, but is that possible?
