When You Need to Trust What You Hear, Trust Prism Sound

Unsurpassed clocking technology, reference-grade conversion, and transparent microphone preamplification combine to make the Prism Sound Titan USB interface and A/D converter a top choice for your most critical audio applications. Beyond lifelike sound quality and ample I/O, Titan's built-in digital mixer offers complete routing flexibility, including foldback for artists and surround sound outputs. Titan is ready to use as a rock-solid USB audio interface, and option cards (sold separately) are available to directly interface with your Pro Tools system or Dante network. Complete with Prism Sound's proprietary Verifile — which allows you to ensure sample-accurate audio for archival or audio forensics — Titan is equipped to handle your most crucial audio tasks.

Building on a heritage of reference-quality audio

Prism Sound emerged as a leader in digital audio technology as a developer of test and measurement equipment for the audio industry. With decades of engineering expertise in the realm of digital clocking and the issues that come with it, Prism Sound equipment like Titan set a benchmark for clean, transparent audio. Whether you're producing music, performing forensic analysis, or anything else, you can be sure that your Titan is providing the most accurate sonic representation possible.

Advanced I/O capabilities with comprehensive software control

Considering Titan's incredibly advanced capabilities, audio engineers at Sweetwater are impressed with how easy it is to manage your settings with the Titan Controller applet. It provides so much more beyond basic routing and level adjustments. External inputs and returns from your computer can be mixed and routed freely. You can configure a pair of microphone inputs for mid-side recording directly in Titan Controller — there's no need to manage it in your DAW. Digital output strips offer control over word length, built-in dithering options, and output sample rate. Add to this vivid, precise metering, and you have everything you need to manage your audio with precision.

Overkiller soft limiter — keep dynamic signals in check

Especially when working in live sound or broadcast environments, where you don't get chances for a second take, you'll appreciate the Prism Sound Titan's Overkiller soft limiter. Engaged within the Titan Controller applet, the Overkiller soft limiter prevents digital clipping without any unwanted sonic artifacts or loss of quality. Input channels feature Overkiller activity indicators, making it easy to identify potentially troublesome signal levels at a glance.

Ensure sample-accurate audio with Verifile

A proprietary technology developed by Prism Sound, Verifile allows you to check audio streams and recorded files for any sort of data corruption. Even if clicks, pops, and dropouts are not actually audible, it is simply unacceptable for mission-critical operations like audio archiving and forensic analysis. The cause is usually your computer's operating system, which can momentarily disrupt audio processes to perform other operations — even if you've fine-tuned your operating system for optimum audio performance.

Verifile can compare a sequence of audio samples and compare them to the source, allowing you to identify even a single inaccurate bit. You can run Verifile in real time on monitoring outputs, as a standalone application to check the integrity of audio files, as a plug-in within your DAW, or even in the background of an ingestion system to analyze multiple files as they're recorded. Verifile also allows you to embed additional metadata into an audio stream, including source details, copyright info, and timestamps.

I work with titan
It's the best sound good and good converter

BLOWN AWAY. BEST INTERFACE I'VE SO FAR
I've had five interaces so far. The Saffire 6 USB, Apollo Twin Solo first generation, Apollo Twin X, RME UCX II, and my current interface, the Apollo X6.

Two days ago, May 3 2024, Prism Sound sent me this Titan to demo for two weeks. I've read reviews about it and watch a few YouTube videos about it. So I reached out to Prism to see if they would let me test out a demo unit.

When I sat down and really listened to a mix of mine through the Titan, I almost cried. It was as if someone removed a thick blanket from my monitors. The sound stage was clearer and wider. The instrument separation was ear candy. This was only the D/A conversion side because the mix was recorded with the X6. To be honest, I almost cried.

The next day, I recorded some rap vocals through it with my Shelford Channel and the Neumann TLM 49 Microphone to also test out the A/D side of things. My vocals had more clarity and detail, something I never heard through the Apollo X6.

I'm not knocking the X6 at all. I've made some good music with it these past two years. Really improved my craft using the X6. But conversion and sound wise, the Apollo X6 can't compete with the Prism Titan.

I've been to bigger studios who have expensive interfaces and I must say that the Titan is the best interface I've heard so far.

I just wished that UAD spent more resources in developing the converters on the X6 and X8 to really rank against the competition.

I wish that I would have purchased this two years ago instead of my X6.

Cons

1. For an interface that's $, the software (Audio Control App) should have been much better. Something like RME Total Mix. There are barely any videos on YouTube on how to operate the software. Has a learning curve.

2. I wish Prism would make a controller for their interfaces. Something like the RME ARC-USB Advanced Remote Control or the MRC for Antelope Interfaces. At least give us an app to use on iPads.

Even with the cons, I still give this interface 5 Stars.

Prism for the Win
Interfaces/Converters I'm referencing against - UAD Apollo X6 with Black Lion Premium Mod. (complete analog overhaul and XB sub-pico clock installed). The Burl B2 dac AND adc, The latest RME Fireface UFXIII. I didn't feel like I was missing anything with those, but they all were good at something and not the other. The Appolo with the BLA mod was better, but nowhere near the Burl. Once you hear that level of conversion, it's just workflow from there. That brought me to the RME - having the last word in reliability, it had better conversion than the Apollo as well, but when clocked to the Burl it sounded better. Totalmix is the most versatile routing system I've ever used (and definitely miss) - but I wanted an interface that just got out of the way in a small home studio. On a whim, I demoed a Titan because...Prism. Throw a rock in a forum about converters, and Prism is royalty. I set it up not expecting much especially being pretty long in the tooth at this point. Most converters and interfaces would've revised 7,8 times in the time the Titan has been out. Prism just does it once, does it right, and it still sounds better than any of them. The first thing you hear when you listen to it is similar to what Burl does in the low end - an extremely tangible and robust girth that inspires you. No, it's not hype. - It's just there. The soundstage is so 3-dimensional, elements take on a front-to-back nature rather than a "little left". The ADC's on it are absolutely incredible and the Mic Pres sound better than most outboard pres.. That's not fanboy talk, that's truth. I actually prefer them on acoustic guitar to my Great Rivers. I bought a headphone amp thinking I would need it. I won't mention the model but it's expensive and well known. The internal HP amps sound better. I don't really know what else to say - If you can get one, do it and be done with it.
Awesome tech support by Jordan!
I bought the titan interface. Jordan was awesome in helping me set it up!!!
Goodbye X8
I have been in the UAD Apollo interface ecosystem from the silverface, blackface, and now the X8. As computers have grown stronger, my realization is I do not need to depend on Sharc processors as much.

From the moment I fired up the Titan, I was amazed how much better the sound quality is. It is not a subtle thing at all. This is even way better than the Dangerous Music Dbox monitoring, which I thought was great. When tracking, everything I run through this interface is true to the source as it perfectly captures any source you throw at it. Try this out and see for yourself.
