Magical leader speakers
These Thump GOs are amazing. Running at mid power on ch 1 and the mains out of a simple Mackie analog mixer for a big FCA banquet (maybe 300 people in a church gym with a 30' ceiling, etc.), these 2 speakers were perfectly loud and clear. Oh yeah… and I ran them on batteries for about 4 hours with no concern (including the 2.5 hour event.

These Actually Work Great as FRFR for Helix!
I bought two of these speakers because they are battery-powered, to use for busking in places where I can't plug in to power. I have a pedalboard and looper that is also battery-powered - so the Thump Gos integrate great with that system. For fun, I connected the XLR outs on my Helix to the speakers, and was floored by how nice they sound. Honestly, for 90% of what I do (bar band, remote performances for my YouTube channel, etc.) these speakers will handle anything I need. I've not pushed them super hard to see just how loud they can be, but in my studio they sound rich and full with the Helix - and they truly do 'thump!" So since the Helix WILL require plug-in power, I'll use the Mackie speakers plugged in for live monitoring if I'm playing out - maybe even as live floor audio instead of an amp. If I'm busking with the battery powered looper setup, I'll use the Mackies powered by the internal batteries. Just know I'm impressed with the sound and volume. Those 8" speakers are not wimpy! Very satisfied with this purchase.

Surprised with the ability of this speaker. I had seen someone ask if using channel 2 for Bluetooth eliminated the possibility of using the channel with a microphone and no, you can use both, you only manage the Bluetooth volume from the cellular device or external device.

Awesome!
I had a single Thump Go speaker but needed to up my game. I bought a second Thump Go speaker as well as a Thump Sub speaker in prep for a New Years gig. The sound is fantastic. I love the options of bluetoothing sound or hard wiring sound. Depending on setting, it expands what I am able to do. These speakers are just right.

Amazing Speaker
Picked up two of these as B-Stock. They do not disappoint. Well worth the price. Build quality is excellent. Some say they wouldn't recommend these as mains but I disagree. They're definitley capable of a 100 person event with plenty of good powerful sound. And the battery life is fantastic. In my opinion, I would take these over the overpriced EV Everse any day (Everse is still a great speaker). If you can grab these Thump Go's for about half the price of an Everse, grab yourself a little CD power bank to power your mic Rx, and you've got a great ceremony speaker with this. I see value in this Mackie where I don't see the price value in some of the other competitors. And the Mackie app works as it should, giving added convenience. Last thing, I can't make out any hiss or noise on these things. Great build quality again. These are my first Mackie products I've ever owned. Very pleased. And Sweetwater with their added 2-yer warranty made grabbing these B-Stock's a no brainer. And 0% financing. Nice.

Also, the Gator GPA-TOTE8 bag fits this speaker if you're looking for a less expensive bag than the Mackie ones. I was able to grab a pair of these last year on a special! I think that deal is done and gone now, but again, a cheaper alternative if you need a good bag for these.
