It's early days, but I'm pretty delighted with this product. Onboard speakers on modern TVs are...not terrific, and I wanted an improvement. Back in the day, TV sets had analog outputs that could be patched into one's home stereo, but not so anymore.

I initially bought the least-expensive product out there, from a respected industry name, but was disappointed in the barely-perceptible improvement. Worse, it failed to work half the time. Sweetwater graciously allowed me to return it.

This Bose is very little more money to purchase, but gives a pronounced improvement in sound. You can hear bass guitar and kick drum! Huzzah! The 'speech enhance' feature is a just-right upper-mid boost. Really does the trick.
Only caveat: with the included optical cable, you cannot control tv volume or muting from the tv remote. I've ordered an HDMI cable, which I hope will remedy this.

On the whole, this is a solid winner, for about half the price of several comparable products.

So far after a month of use this unit delivers clear, undistorted sound. Voicies are clear and understandable.

Does help with hearing dialogue better. The bass for a small speaker is decent. Overall, for the price, it is very good.

We have owned a terrific Bose TV sound bar for about 10 years. After the old sound bar died this year, we purchased a new one recently via Sweetwater. By the way, the price was the same as purchasing it directly from Bose! The new sound bar arrived and works great, but the new Bose remote incorporates a few new options which make it a bit more tedious to operate. My "old" remote had just four options (power on/off, sound up, sound down, and mute). The new remote is the identical size with the same four options along the left side. On the right, there are four additional but poorly defined new options. The handbook says they are (1) to turn the sound bar on along with the TV, (2) enable Bluetooth, (3) Adjust bass (a good one), and (4) a goofy icon which supposedly enhances the clarity of dialogue. A better user's manual from Bose would have helped make this a more satisfying user experience.
