3-row, 28" Modular Pedalboard System

Temple Audio Templeboards offer a radical new way to customize the layout of your pedalboard — from stomp and power supply placements to I/O, speaker connections, and beyond. Each modular Templeboard is limited only by its size. And with plenty of optional modules to choose from, you can build the perfect board for your exact needs. The Templeboard's locking screw-in pedal plates offer an entirely secure pedal stage that won't shift or slip in transit. And with a lightweight aluminum frame and rugged side rails and handle pulls, Templeboards offer the security you need without weighing you down.

Please note: Temple Audio pedalboards require proprietary Quick Release Pedal Plates (sold separately).

Modular design

Templeboard's modular ecosystem gives you the freedom to customize your connections and layouts according to your needs and taste. Switching power connectors, instrument and speaker connections, even customizable lighting — it's all possible with Templeboard.

More secure than other boards

With its locking pedal plate mounting system (plates sold separately), Templeboard pedalboards offer a high degree of security and modularity for the gigging guitar or bass player. Position the adhesive squares on your board to taste, adhere to your pedals, then lock in with the thumb screw. Unlike even the strongest hook-and-loop tapes, which permit some degree of movement, Templeboards lock in pedals securely, even in transit.

Lightweight and ruggedly built

Rugged handle pulls, rugged side rails, and a durable, lightweight aluminum frame equip Templeboard pedalboards for anything your tour can throw at you.

Pedals above, power below

The Templeboard's pegboard-style layout gives you the freedom to mount stomps and accessories from both sides. Guitarists at Sweetwater found this system to work best for mounting FX up top and power supplies underneath. But of course, each Templeboard is your custom creation, so you can design to taste.

Note: Templeboards offer an underside clearance of 1.25" in the front and 2.25" in the back. Power supplies 2" and thinner are recommended for underside mounting.

Temple Audio Templeboard Trio 28 Pedalboard Features:

  • 28" total length — fits up to 21 standard BOSS-sized FX
  • Optional side mounting modules — outfit with your choice of inputs, outputs, IEC switching power modules, and more
  • Locking thumb-screw mounting plates (sold separately) lock pedals in place

Reviews

Top-notch pedalboard
I'm a Holeyboard fan, and that's all I have used for over ten years (possibly longer; I started using Holeyboard back when they were wooden). I use only zip ties and never use sticky velcro, etc. Since I only use pedals in the studio, zip ties keep them in mint condition.

I bought this Temple Audio board for the studio, for a whole bunch of mono effect pedals. I measured the slice of the studio floor space this would occupy before buying, and knew it would *just* fit. I already owned a GigRig QuarterMaster 10-loop switcher, so I planned on housing 10 vertical rows of pedals on this Templeboard, with each vertical row of pedals occupying one loop of the QuarterMaster. In reality, I'd mis-measured how many pedals I could fit on this board... I could fit eight vertical rows. I found a nearby spot for loops nine and ten of the QM.

Holes! I love the layout of the holes. As mentioned above, I use zip ties. I hate velcro on pedals! I cringe just thinking about sticking velcro on the back of a pedal. (Holeyboard spoiled me, and I've never looked back.) This Templeboard has a hole-pattern that is perfect. All of the holes are the same size. And adjacent holes are the same distance apart. This works out perfectly. I like the proprietary pattern Holeyboard uses, but I like Templeboard's take on this concept, too. (FYI, I have a big Holeyboard the other side of the studio for stereo pedals.)

You might wonder, "Why bother fastening the pedals to the board, if you're only using them the studio?" Portability, same as using them on stage. If I need to move them, I don't want to waste time later.

This Templeboard has a great solid build, and it is lightweight. The "punch out" panels on the sides are great. They have screws, so they're non-destructive.

A multi-tiered version of these Templeboards would be amazing. It's possible Temple can't do a multi-tiered "hole-y" pedalboard because Holeyboard got there first (patents). But it would be sweet.

Great pedalboard, highly recommended. If you hate velcro on pedals like I do, Templeboard is a solid non-tiered alternative to Holeyboard.

Worth the money
Very solid construction. The case is very nice too. Easy set up of pedals, hides power and patch cords well with lots of room to spare on this model. See Andy Rice for best sales advice and great deals.

Nice for neat freaks like me.
It could be a thicker gauge and feel a little sturdier, but I love the method of attaching pedals. The method I use to attach the medium plates is to attach a little tape to two sides of the plate and have them extend out to the sides, place the plate where it will be on the board and lined up to be in the middle of the pedal, set the pedal where it will be positioned and pull the ends of the tape up and to the sides of the pedal, remove plate and pedal together. Draw a reference line across the top of the plate on the back of the pedal, remove it and the tape and remove the backing and use the line to place the plate permanently on the pedal. Works great to get pedal exactly aligned along the front edge of the board. Product and design.
