This Value-packed Bass Is Loaded with Features

Loaded with professional features, the Yamaha TRBX605FM offers incredible value in a bass guitar. A classic tonewood combination of solid alder and stunning flamed maple delivers punch, bite, and sustain by the truckload. A comfortable 5-piece maple/mahogany neck combines excellent playability with superior tone and stability. Experience maximum sonic flexibility, by way of the TRBX605FM's YGD H5 pickups and audiophile-grade active/passive 3-band EQ. Beyond that, a high-mass die-cast bridge and innovative headstock design provide optimal vibration transfer and tuning stability. A battery alert LED rounds out the impressive TRBX605FM.

A classic tonewood recipe

The TRBX605FM is built from quality tonewoods. A solid alder body provides a balanced yet punchy foundation for this bass's tone, yielding equal doses of lows, mids, and highs. A stunning flamed maple top frames the TRBX605FM's basic tone with brightness, bite, and sustain. And the added snap and warmth provided by its 5-piece rosewood-capped maple/mahogany neck are the final ingredients in the TRBX605FM's classic tonal recipe.

Flexible active 3-band EQ

The bassists here at Sweetwater appreciate the clean, open tone exhibited by the TRBX605FM's dual YGD H5 pickups. Plug in, and you'll experience ample output and dynamic sensitivity, by way of these pickups' quad-pole-piece design and robust Alnico V magnets. Beyond that, the TRBX605FM is loaded with an audiophile-grade active/passive 3-band EQ. This flexible circuit offers a level-matched output in both passive or active modes, and tone-switching circuitry that moves seamlessly from treble control to master passive tone. And as an added bonus, a battery alert LED prevents unexpected power losses when you're performing onstage.

Comfortable 5-piece maple/mahogany neck

If you're searching for extreme comfort, you'll enjoy playing the TRBX605FM. Its TRBX neck design combines a comfortable profile with 5-piece maple/mahogany construction for excellent tone and stability. This bass's refined neck joint reflects the perfect balance of strength, vibration transfer, and upper-fret access. And you'll benefit from superior tuning stability and reduced overtones, thanks to a headstock that virtually eliminates lateral string tension.

First off, shout out to Jacob! Always a pleasant experience, quick communication, always making sure it's just right.

Now for the bass...

This thing sounds phenomenal! I will admit that my experience with basses is limited, but I'm digging this bass. The neck is smooth and feels right in the hands, the sound is so customizable! I can literally hit every genre I want. I run hartke amps and cabinets, so I can't speak to what it may sound like with other cabs, but I'm VERY gait with this purchase. Thanks!

Yamaha TRBX605FM

My first 5 string bass guitar, and I waited a little over 2 months for it, I can tell you, it was worth the wait, and I'm not disappointed on this purchase.Being a 5 string I expected that the neck wound be a wide neck, but it had a very shapely and with great action, movement on the TRBX605FM so lovable sleek and light weight. Still getting used to the extra low B string but I'm certainly a great joy to play and have the action of ease while playing it around the house, can't wait to start playing it in church. I'll tell you what, don't take my word on what I've told you, buy one for yourself, it is worth the wait. Thanks Sweetwater, it a great instrument.

Great has been upgraded to Awesome!

I have owned the previous version of this bass. Many have stated that the sound can be a little bland at times but with this new version, Alder/Flame maple top, it absolutely sings! The tone is very different though many people will denounce tonewoods but I am super satisfied with this purchase and look forward to many years of playing this bass!

Oportunity to play one

One of these where donated to the church,
And I had a he oportunity to play this instrument in a performance situation, the playability of this instrument right out of the case, was exceptional. In both active eq and passive the boost and cut features delivered a wide range of tonal choices between neck and bridge pickups and in a blended setting. The action was smooth and the overall sounds of this instrument was punchy, with clarity and sonically bone shaking. In the lower extended register. From mild to wild. I would love own one for myself hint hint lol. I sincerely hope the younger musicians appreciate playing it as much as I did.

Super bass for the dollar!

I was using a Yamaha TRBX305 as a practice bass for a few years and I loved it. When the TRBX605FM came out, I just had to have one. As usual, Yamaha great quality! The active/passive switch keeps you playing if the battery dies on you , plus it ads more tones to your pallet. The only thing I don't like is the low B is a little murky for my tastes, but I use heavy strings. Maybe lighter strings would cure that. Just MY opinion anyway. I love the bass and it has found a home for many years to come....unless they come out with a TRBX705...LOL. Get one, you will love it too!
