An Extremely Versatile 4-string Bass!

The Yamaha TRBX304 bass guitar brings versatility, killer looks, and amazing performance together in a complete package. This sleek-looking, great-sounding bass gives you a comfortable Yamaha body shape and a fast-action bolt-on 5-piece maple/mahogany neck with a smooth-playing rosewood fingerboard. A pair of humbucking pickups deliver hum-free sound and the Performance EQ active circuit instantly optimizes your bass for different playing styles. Factor in the Yamaha TRBX304’s solid hardware and thoughtful design, and you’ve got a bass that’s ready to conquer any stage.

Comfortable body with progressive styling

The deep cutaway on the Yamaha TRBX304 electric bass guitar gives you clean access to the higher registers for soloing while the pronounced upper bout provides balance. The 5-piece maple/mahogany neck has a comfortable and fast-playing profile, and the straight string pull of the headstock offers improved tuning stability and reduces overtones. You’re going to love the way the TRBX304 looks, plays, and feels.

Humbucking pickups deliver massive tone

Yamaha loaded the TRBX304 with a pair of custom-designed M3 humbucking pickups. These ceramic pickups have oversized pole pieces for depth and definition without any hum. The TRBX304 also has a versatile set of active electronics, making you ready for any gig. An active 2-band EQ lets you dial in your ideal sound fast and easy. And the Performance EQ 5-way switch’s optimized EQ settings instantly call up tones for slap, pick, fingerstyle, and solo bass playing. The Yamaha TRBX304 bass can get you any tone you need in seconds.

The Yamaha TRBX304 bass is covered by the company’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. Yamaha has been making world-class instruments for over a century. Reviews

Wicked cool
Love the look the tone the options my favorite bass so far
A little setup required
Overall this being my 1st bass I am thoroughly pleased. Got this to learn more and have for tracking I'm doing in my home studio. After a little setup it plays like bitter.
Music background: Amateur
Absolute amazing bass
This is a fantastic bass and if you're thinking about getting into it do it you won't be sorry this thing has been nothing but fun to play and sounds amazing. You might be not paying as much for a more expensive instrument but Yamaha doesn't really cut too many corners they give you a good deal. Please keep in mind that you need to put a battery in this instrument since the pickups are active pickups... The baby blue instrument in the middle is the bass
This bass is an all-around winner
My old tried and true electric bass had a wiring issue two days before a major gig. My wife and I piled in the van and drove to Sweetwater to see about finding a new bass FAST. We got there (a nearly 100-mile drive one-way) and met with my rep, who took us to the Bass Department. There I tried many different basses, in different price ranges, until we narrowed it down to this Yamaha TRBX304. The price was excellent, as were the guitar's features. I added a cable and a Fender gig bag (see separate review) and I was not disappointed, especially when the gig began. Several people remarked on not only the guitar's
clean appearance, but also on the awesome sound. A great bang for the buck!
Music background: I started playing upright bass in 1964, and picked up the electric around 1970, for a theater show. Since those days I've performed in theaters, bands, orchestras and other groups.
Bass review
I haven't spent much time with it, but the time I have spent I've liked it.
