Powerful and Percussive Tambourine Tone!

When you're after bold sound, crisp jingle, and plenty of percussive playing options, this Meinl Recording-Combo Wood Tambourine really delivers. Between its sturdy laminate wood frame and pre-tuned goat-skin head, this tambourine offers natural warmth, lively resonance, and a balance of crisp attack and singing sustain. The percussionists and performers here at Sweetwater really enjoy the shimmer and cut of the Recording-Combo Wood Tambourine's mixed nickel-plated steel and solid brass jingles, which sound clear even at low volume. The 10" goat-skin head also lets you drum, roll your fingers, and bend pitch as you play, making this an all-around amazing instrument.

Reviews

Quality
Wonderful sound and comfortable to hold. Can take a beating. Sound carries through out the sanctuary beautifully. Thanks Sweetwater!
Great Sound Quality
Great for live performance & recording. Very good quality of workmanship also.
Great tambourine for the money
This is my first tambourine, but I watched quite a few videos and tried out all of the ones that my local Guitar Center had. This outperforms the ones that I tried (Remo $ synthetic head). The drum head feels and sounds like a natural world drum, the rubber grip is really nice (no hole for mounting, but you could drill one), and it's a mix of stainless steel & brass jingles. I like the sound quality of it for the drum head, it has a balanced attack and decay. If I had any complaint, it's the resonance of the drum head when you shake the tambourine fast side-to-side... but that seems to be present in the drum-head style tambourine no matter what. It wouldn't be noticeable in a mix or with some EQ.
Mini Percussion Tambourine
It's a gospel jam at church. Yes I love it.

Kyle is King
I received the first tambourine and it was moldy on the head and wood chips were missing where it held the stem in on one of the jangles. I told my sales engineer Kyle Malone about it, and before I could sing "My Green Tambourine", there was another brand new good one on my doorstep!
Kyle is King!!!! In the truest sense of every word!
