Classic all-tube design provides sweet harmonics and warm distortion

Inside the Bugera T50 Infinium guitar amplifier you'll find four 12AX7 preamp tubes, as well as a pair of EL34 power tubes, giving you iconic all-tube tone. For sonic versatility, you can switch between Class A operation for classic warmth or Class AB for a tighter modern sound.

High-definition reverb puts the finishing touch on your sound

The Bugera T50 Infinium guitar amplifier's high-definition reverb adds a distinctive polish to your sound. Fully adjustable, the T5's reverb can provide you with all sorts of different effects. From subtle ambience to a cavernous, reverberant arena, the T5 can pull it off.

Infinium technology takes the hassle and expense out of tube tone

Sweetwater guitarists agree that it's hard to beat real tube tone. But we also know that the cost involved in owning and maintaining a tube guitar amplifier can be prohibitive. Bugera's Infinium circuit is designed to optimize the performance of your output tubes and distribute the load evenly between the tubes, giving you tonal integrity and reliability. By automatically adjusting current levels, aging tubes are compensated for and your tone retains that toasty, day-one sound throughout its life. Tubes, by nature, do wear out and die, but when you play an Infinium amp, you'll never worry. This exclusive technology allows you to grab whatever replacement tube you have on hand and get back to playing - there's no matching necessary. In fact, now you can mix and match tubes to create your very own signature sound without the hassle and expense of buying matched pairs. And because Infinium is a bit like having your own guitar amp tech with you on every gig, you get up to 20 times more life out of your tubes. When it is time to change one out, you'll know exactly where to go, thanks to the life-monitoring LED readout that keeps you in the know about your amp's health.

Bugera T50 Infinium Guitar Amplifier Features:
  • 12AX7 preamp tubes and EL34 power tubes provide sweet harmonics and warm distortion
  • 2-channel design has you covered from cleans and crunch to full-on distortion
  • Infinium Tube Life Multiplier technology extends the lifespan of your tubes

Reviews

Great Sound
The Bugera T50 has a nice sound on clean as well as dirty and I especially like that I can take it directly into my recording gear (via a UA Volt 276) without having to mic a speaker. I'm currently using a Blackstone St James 212 VOC 140 watt cabinet with 2 Celestion G12Z-70 "Zephyr" speakers with I like the sound of. The Bugera drives it nicely at all levels to my ears though with more watts it may sound differently. I also like the tube technology in the unit to extend tube life and indicate when replacement is needed. It'll be interesting to see how the Bugera performs over time.

To be clear, I've only been playing guitar for about a year and a half but have written, and recorded, many songs I like with a lot more in the works; it's fun and I love I can make music I actually like hearing, mostly country and jazzy pop though I do not have a lengthy music experience. I do favor my tube amps from Bugera and Fender (Hot Rod DeVille) as I love the sound though I also have other versatile non-tube combo amps from Boss and Peavey. Note that the Bugera looks nice classing up even my small overcrowded 'studio' setting which you see about half of.

Good value
So, the clean is beautiful, the crunch is nice, the super high gain was...... disappointing..... at least for the first 20 hours of use. I bought two of them, to run a stereo rig. The 2 amps ran about $. 2 Marshall's or Peavey 6505s would have been WAY more than I wanted to spend. After hearing the fizzy high gain sound, I was gonna go ahead and get the Peavey amps. But... was forced to put about 40 hours on them. Oddly enough, in the meantime the fizz has gone away. I can't explain it. It's the same for both heads. Is it possible there is a "break in " period for the components? Anyhow, I'll he keeping them now. They are a knock off of the Vox Night Train 50 btw. There's some bad info out there in "google land" on these. Mine run through 2 HiWatt 4 12 boxes, loaded with Celestion GT75s from the late 80s, early 90s . The cabs are amazing, so these heads really are getting every opportunity to be amazing. And I do like them. Maybe after a bit more fiddling, I'll fall in love with them. Fingers crossed... but still an amazing value. Hope this helps!

Why no 6 star option?
I've been rocking the T50 infinium for a couple years. I bought it used, and it's all stock as far as I know. (No sign of modification) it has a ton of get up and go played through a 4x12. It's good down to 4 ohms also, so you can safely go full on full stack mode, and melt faces. I initially used it as a clean channel pedal queen. This was because a bunch of tube amplifier elitest, sissies reviewed it, and said "it's clean channel is great!" (Imagine that in my mocking voice) "but the dirty channel sounds absolutely horrible." So I took that at face value. Then one day, I forgot my distortion pedal at home, and decided to use the dreaded built-in distortion. At some point, at practice that day, I realized that I was in love. Never had my tones cut through like that. So the deal is, crank that volume knob to 12:00 at least, gain maxed, no phat switch, set eq settings to your ears content. Oh and just a little of the "tone cut" nob. The problem the other reviewers were having was that they were afraid of the power and didn't crank her up. And the hotter the amp gets, the better the distortion gets. I will attest that, the dirty channel is better for rock, (maybe not metal) than any distortion pedal I have used. At this sale price, I'm seriously thinking about getting another one for a spare. Seriously buy 2 You'll love it.

Worth every penny
It's hard to beat this amp in its price range and even a little higher. Put some JJ tubes in and it will sound like the JCM 900 it's patterned after.
Quite happy after a few months
I've had the chance to use this head on a few gigs and daily practice sessions. It makes all of my guitars sound their best. I haven't owned a tube amp for 15 years and I don't remember them sounding this good. Lots shimmer and sparkle on the highs. Big rich sustain. Very nice.
