A Stellar Strat with Decade-specific Appointments

The Fender Vintera II '50s Stratocaster delivers the style and sound of one of the company's classic eras with a modern-day twist. This solidbody electric guitar is replete with decade-specific appointments, including a mid-'50s Soft "V"-shaped neck, a vintage-radius fingerboard, and vintage-style '50s single-coil Strat pickups — it's tailor-made for guitarists who scour pawn shops in search of classic playability and bell-like Strat tones. Vintage-style tuning machines and a vintage-style synchronized tremolo round out the Vintera II '50s Strat's hardware, while parchment plastic knobs and a 1-ply pickguard provide original-era aesthetics. The Vintera II '50s Stratocaster also sports a vintage-tinted neck and a vintage-inspired color — believe us when we say it's the next best thing to owning a carefully preserved classic!

Classic construction

Who says they don't build 'em like they used to? The Vintera II '50s Stratocaster boasts a contoured double-cutaway body carved from a solid slab of alder — the balanced-sounding tonewood whose acoustic tonal characteristics have fueled some of the more enduring recordings of modern-day music. This Strat's maple neck features an ultra-comfortable mid-'50s Soft "V" shape, and its 7.25-inch-radius fingerboard is laden with 21 vintage-tall frets.

Teeming with '50s-style tones

Once the Strat aficionados here at Sweetwater plugged the Fender Vintera II '50s Stratocaster in, no one could put it down. This solidbody electric guitar's vintage-style '50s single-coil Strat pickups yield crystalline, bell-like Strat tones with truckloads of crisp articulation. You also get a tried-and-true complement of controls: a master volume knob, independent neck and middle pickup tone knobs, and modern 5-way switching.

Old-school hardware

You'll appreciate the careful thought Fender put into the Vintera II '50s Stratocaster's hardware. Its vintage-style tuning machines supply rock-solid tuning stability, and its 6-saddle, vintage-style synchronized tremolo with bent-steel saddles facilitates expressive bends, warbles, and dives. You also get parchment plastic control knobs and a 1-ply pickguard to ensure a head-turning, period-accurate look.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While Certified Open Box items from Fender do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!
