A Swarm of Delicate, Seductive Sounds
Once three separate libraries in the Spitfire Audio canon, Swarms is an amalgamation of harps, marimbas, and mandolins that weaves together intimate sounds and distinct textures designed for the creation of cinematic scores, rhythmic pulses, harmonic patterns, and melody lines fit to be featured in any number of projects. Inspired by the neo-impressionist technique of pointillism, Spitfire Audio tells Sweetwater that much in the same way individual dots of color blend to create a complete image in the eye of the viewer, Swarms aims to provide the sonic equivalent and inspire through robust, singular instances the development of lush soundscapes and detailed aural designs. Captured on tape in the famous Lyndhurst Hall at AIR Studios, Swarms delivers the expansive, high-quality palette of intricate and boundary-pushing sounds we’ve come to expect from Spitfire Audio.

About Lyndhurst Hall
Lyndhurst Hall was initially constructed in 1884 by Alfred Waterhouse, an architect renowned for devising London’s Natural History Museum. The hall would be used for a multitude of purposes throughout the decades, including emergency shelters during both World War I and II, as well as hosting live events, club meetings, and church gatherings. Following a closure in the 1970s, Sir George Martin reopened Lyndhurst Hall in 1992, becoming a go-to choice for recording music that would go on to be heard in homes and cinemas around the world, including Oscar-winning and nominated works, as well as triple-A video games. Fun fact: Award-winning scores for films such as Atonement, Phantom Thread, and Interstellar were recorded at AIR Studios, and some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Adele, Billie Eilish, Radiohead, and Paul McCartney, have cut tracks at the legendary studio. Thanks to Spitfire Audio delivering a genuinely uncompromising and exactingly detailed multidimensional simulacrum of the iconic hall, you, too, can produce projects that radiate with the same vivacity and life.
