A Revived Spectacle of 10-band Analog Processing
Unveiled exclusively for Moogfest 2019’s engineer pass holders, the Moog Spectravox emerged as a beacon of 10-band spectral vocoder processing among several discerning synthesists at Sweetwater. To their surprise, its updated form and functionality are finally ready to integrate into any synthesis rig, bearing Moog’s classic fat analog character with a collection of iconic and versatile parameter controls. It all starts with an onboard VCO, spectral shift controls, and expansive program input options, allowing the Spectravox to yield a vast array of sound possibilities, from shaped ambient drones to unique vocoder patches and beyond. Likewise, a 3.5mm patchbay introduces a seamless path to several internal and external sound controls, along with a 1/4-inch XLR combo input for microphone, instrument, and additional sound source processing. Complete with an included 12V power supply and pro-designed preset overlays from the patching experts at Moog, Spectravox has never been more ready to apply exclusive audio processing to nearly any instrument foundation in the books.

10 bands of elite sonic experimentation
Beginning with the processor's onboard VCO and 1/4-inch XLR combo input, the heart of the Moog Spectravox lies within its 10-band filter bank, skyrocketing sonic capabilities from simple signal tuning to complex modulated filtering schemes and everywhere in between. Combined with front-panel spectral shift, VCO, and envelope controls, manufacturing colorful spectral drones, personalized vocoder voices, and atmospheric sweeps is straightforward, with more than enough wiggle room for extra audial experimentation. Topped off with a built-in envelope generator and expanded rig compatibility, the Spectravox is more than just a spectral processor — it's a standalone synth, CV filter bank, and vocoder all in one!

Patch into any pre-existing Eurorack rig
36-points of 3.5mm patch bay potential equip the Spectravox for seamless integration into a bounty of Eurorack and electronic instrument systems. These include standard connections to the processor's VCO, LFO, envelope generator, and much more, servicing a multitude of possible sound sculpting paths directly within or outside of the Spectravox' internal controls. No rig? No problem: Sweetwater synthesists have found that Spectravox' onboard VCO and white noise generators, an onboard program input, and the included 12V DC power supply provide more than enough standalone instrumental possibilities right out of the box.
