An EarthQuaker Classic, Elevated with a Powerful Preset Section

EarthQuaker Devices’ Spatial Delivery pedal has long been a favorite of Sweetwater’s funky filter fanatics. As expected, Spatial Delivery V3 takes that time-tested formula to bold new heights with a powerful onboard preset section and an assignable expression pedal jack. This voltage-controlled envelope filter delivers the same sweeping tones as its predecessors, sporting three modes (Up Sweep, Down Sweep, and Sample/Hold), a Lowpass/Bandpass/Highpass filter control, range knob, and rich Resonance control to dial in everything from autowah madness to sputtering robotic rhythms. Next, this V3 version introduces a 6-position Preset knob, allowing you to save and recall your custom creations with the simple twist of a dial. And perhaps most importantly of all, the Spatial Delivery V3 now includes an assignable expression jack for hands-free control — a feature that Spatial Delivery fans have been requesting since the V1 iteration!

Standard latching and dynamic momentary control

Equipped with a true-bypass Flexi-Switch, the Spatial Delivery V3 provides both traditional latching operation and a more dynamic momentary mode. Clicking the Spatial Delivery V3’s switch yields a strictly standard pedal operation: one click turns the pedal on; another click turns it off again. However, by holding the switch down when the pedal is disengaged, the Spatial Delivery V3 will momentarily activate for however long the switch is depressed. This powerful feature allows you to temporarily inject a dose of funky filtering into a choice lick or solo, then immediately fall back to your dry tone when you lift your foot off the switch.

Save your custom sonic creations

Despite its clean and straightforward design, the Spatial Delivery V3 is an incredibly deep pedal that offers a nearly limitless potential for sonic exploration. Considering its vast range of tones, it’s only natural that EarthQuaker Devices chose to upgrade this V3 version with a 6-position Preset knob to save your custom creations. When you’ve finally found that funky autowah sound or glitched-out experimental sweep you’ve been searching for, you can save it for instant recall later. Moreover, the Spatial Delivery V3’s new expression jack also saves its currently assigned parameter to your chosen preset.

EarthQuaker Devices Spatial Delivery V3 Features:

  • The third iteration of EarthQuaker Devices’ voltage-controlled filter pedal, enhancing the formula with a 6-position Preset knob and an expression jack
  • Offers 3 distinct modes to explore: Up Sweep, Down Sweep, and a frenetic Sample/Hold mode
  • Range knob to dial in the envelope sensitivity in Up/Down Sweep modes; Range transforms to a speed adjustment in Sample/Hold mode
  • Filter control crossfades between a highpass and lowpass filter and everything else in between
  • Resonance dictates filter feedback, imparting more heft and ring to the Filter’s sound
  • True-bypass Flexi-Switch offers both latching and momentary operation
  • Assignable Expression jack for hands-free control of your chosen parameter
  • 6-position Preset switch also saves the currently chosen Expression parameter

Reviews

Fun Pedal
I never owned an envelope filter prior to purchasing this one, so I don't have a lot of experience with this kind of effect. I bought it to replicate a funk guitar riff and solo that I saw. It nails that sound exactly, so I'm happy. The presets are great and the pedal has a lot of manual adjustment you can do to get a good amount of variation in the effect. The pedal is also well built.
Spatial Delivery V3
Absolutely unique pedal in the EQD lineup. The Sample And Hold mode is my personal favorite and it's so powerful sounding. The Modes 1 and 3 are really impressive too and the possibilities for shaping envelope swells. I like to use Modes 1 and 2 with Plumes and creating some really groovy autowah leads. So awesome to have preset saving and recall on this pedal now too.

Shoutout to Melissa with Sweetwater. Best customer service on every order placed. No matter what order I place I receive the same fantastic customer service from Melissa.

Orange You Glad There's Presets!
I wanted a slimy filter for adding slight funk to reggae rhythm and leads and auto-wah tones. The Spatial Delivery V3 fills that need, while the Sample and Hold mode offers incredible spacey tones I never expected this pedal could offer. Sample and Hold sounds like a ring mod, deep tremolo, reverse delay, and phaser wrapped into one. perfect for ambiance or adding movement to power chords.

Not a huge fan of a continuous blend control serving as the filter selector. Its delicate, but that also lets you be very precise.

Ultimately it's not an issue since you can save up to 6 presets. The preset option makes this a must-try filter pedal that's lightyears ahead of the V2 and V1 when it comes to value and user experience.
Very funky and easy to use
I'm normally not the biggest fan of envelope filters but this one I like a lot. It's very easy to dial in on its own for plug and play use.

Its has 3 modes of UP (Mutron sound), SH (Sample and Hold that has an ARP sound), and DN (Down for Bootsie sound).

The filter knob is a LPF and HPF that you can dial in rather than just switch. This knob to me is what makes the biggest difference in tone.

Have yet to try the Preset or EXP pedal functions.

Fun to play and recommended.
