Channel 3 and Channel 4’s TRS jacks can function as a single stereo input, which is perfect for keyboards and drum machines. What’s more, you get an inspiring inventory of amplifier models and effects tailored specifically for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and vocals to ensure a polished result with every sound source. Not sure what sound you’re looking for? No problem — Spark Edge supports Spark AI, which allows you to craft and audition unique tones by answering a series of questions.

Reviews

Incredible Clarity
I purchased the Positive Grid Spark Edge and I'm rather amazed at its quality, weight and clarity of sound! It's almost like a studio monitor, and then you add its wireless connectivity, four different channels with options to add effects with the app, and above all the portability!
You can take it into an open field and play under the clouds or stars, as well as have it set up in a studio apartment and hear the pristine quality of workmanship.
Recently, I've been using it as a monitor for my drum machine while writing and I'm amazed with its ability to handle any "assignment."

I am thoroughly impressed!
I normally find issues or disappointments with new products pretty quickly. I just received this today but have spent about 6 hours trying it out and I am so impressed with it. It sounds absolutely incredible. Whether I play an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar it just amazes me. My vocals are crystal clear and my Beat Buddy has a full and thunderous sound.

My gigging rig now includes my headset and guitar into a Helicon VG and then the guitar to Input #1 and the vocals to Input #2. I love the fact the modeling and effects are not only provided for guitar, but so many options are available for vocals as well.

It's under 14 pounds and the ergonomic handle and the balance of the unit makes it very portable and comfortable to carry.

I have no hum, buzz or white noise. I play 90% clean and with a slight over-dive on the other 10%. My only gripe is with the software not being very well designed. It has all the functionality but with a terrible user interface. This is not a fault with the Edge. It's the same software that's used with the other Positive Grid amps. I never have a connection issue with WiFi or Bluetooth. It works but it ain't pretty or all that intuitive.

I look forward to my first gig with this amp this Saturday, Nov 30. I plan on ordering a second Edge right after Thanksgiving. I don't want to gig with anything less.

Take it away with the Positive Grid Spark Edge Amp
Positive Grid Spark Edge 65-watt Combo Amp and PA System meets all of my musical needs. It's battery powered, which means that I can take it everywhere I go. I can get multiple awesome tones without the use of external pedals. It's sufficiently loud. Front ending the amp with several of my favorite pedals (Origin Effects Cali76 FET Compressor, Origin Effects RevivalDRIVE Compact Hot Rod Overdrive Pedal) gets me the best tone that I have ever had. I can use the amp as a monitor, when plugged directly into a mixer or PA system. Additionally, I can use it as a front-end to my favorite, more powerful amps (Orange SUPER Crush 100 and Orange Rocker 15 Terror heads with Orange PPC112 60 Watt 1x12 inch closed back cabinets). It gives me a consistent sound in a variety of venues (bedroom, backyard, a college campus, the mountains, on stage) or plugged into a variety of power amps. I experience pure joy, when using guitar in channel 1, vocals in channel 2, and drum pedal (Singular Sound BeatBuddy Mini 2) in channel 3. I have nothing left to complain about (except for my guitar playing and my songwriting).

Amp
Good amp with a various features
~14 lbs. with Battery, Plus Spark Modeler, 65 watt FRFR, and Mixer. The Ultimate Small Gig Machine
I've got a full range of Sparks: Go (vacations, gig floor pedal), Mini (parties), and now Edge (no AC and smaller gigs). I play an electric guitar in my "acoustic duo" and to back up my vocals on solo gigs. I put my duo partner's guitars into channel 3. I use an XLR Y-cable to connect our two SM58 mics to channel 2. The build quality looks good. It inexplicably has no pole mount. We played an outdoor gig last night and might have explored the upper coverage limits of electric guitar, plus bass guitar, plus two mics, in a large back yard. I gave my friends a heads up it was a new compact battery PA. They commented on its excellent sound (they liked our performance too :~).

The Edge second channel dispenses with the electric guitar amps and effects. It retains a compressor, graphic EQ, reverb, and 3 amp models: mic, acoustic guitar, bass guitar. For the best vocal sound I am using only reverb and bypassing everything else (tube mic preamp model bypassed too).

Channel 1 has a 8 kHz tone, 4 octaves above a B string noticeable in a quiet room. That noise is mitigated by not using more gain than you need and attenuating 3.2 kHz band of the graphic EQ by 2.5 dB. That nuance of EQ is something I prefer anyway to make overdrive less buzzy (I am also taking 100 Hz down 5 dB to make my guitar sound more like an open back amp). The noise gate helps and all the factory presets have the gate enabled (so you might not notice until). Inexplicably the noise goes away if you buffer your guitar with a not true bypass pedal. Maybe a future firmware release can fix this (at the very least a notch filter). I've decided it is acceptable but have contacted Positive Grid support. I took off a star...
